Would you be interested in a steering damper mounting kit?

I'll check with spaz and see. He just got back from Bonneville speed week doing his land speed racing.

Re: Would you be interested in a steering damper mounting kit?
Sorry folks! I'm in between Bonneville meets right now: I ride out on my (sadly) non-boosted Concours tomorrow to attend the second half of events there. I was literally working on the bikes until 3am in the morning before we left... my neighbors are probably not to happy with my dyno purchase at this point. ;) As with all things race, everything that could go wrong tired to go wrong, and it took all my time to get it ready.
I have enough metal/parts to make the first run of about half a dozen brackets, but I have not done a redesign of the adapter yet. I'll be back in my shop on the 3rd, and it will be the second job on my calendar... have to make a throttle body adapter for an 850hp Evo 8 first for a friend that helped me with my Bonneville prep.
Here are some cool dyno graphs and salt bike pic's as proof... hopefully ya'll find them somewhat placating.
The graphs are from the nekkid Harley and my ZX10R... though the end of the 10R was cut off by about 700rpm due to too much water jetting... fixed now.

Bonneville looks great, enjoy.
Just to confirm I need to source an OHLINS Universal damper with 68mm stroke SD002 or SD003.

The 68mm stroke should be the SD001. I can get them a little cheaper if I buy them by the half dozen, but you're more than welcome to source your own.

I like cheaper, and now that I know you have a dyno, saving the delivery cost this fall is sounding appealing

I'm in the UK so if you don't mind letting me know what the cost is I can work out which is the more economical solution, thanksSpazonazx wrote: Thu Aug 22, 2019 2:42 pm The 68mm stroke should be the SD001. Re: Would you be interested in a steering damper mounting kit?
Of course; as soon as I know how may I need to order at one time I can get a better idea. Last time I checked they list for around 395 USD shipped for the SD001 Kit (the kit has the clamp mount as well as the damper, not just the replacement sd001 body). I'm fairly certain I can get 10 to 20 bucks off each one if I order enough of them... so I'd say somewhere between 350-380 sounds about right. I'll have to double check my notes when I get back home to be sure, though.Switch18 wrote: Thu Aug 22, 2019 5:10 pmI'm in the UK so if you don't mind letting me know what the cost is I can work out which is the more economical solution, thanksSpazonazx wrote: Thu Aug 22, 2019 2:42 pm The 68mm stroke should be the SD001. It is a fun tool... I'm slowly building a collection of pretty wild/different machine runs on that poor thing.PhukDD wrote: Thu Aug 22, 2019 3:33 pm I like cheaper, and now that I know you have a dyno, saving the delivery cost this fall is sounding appealing![]()
