Would you be interested in a steering damper mounting kit?
My friend and I have found a way to mount a 2008-2010 ZX-10R steering damper to the H2 SX SE. My friend said he'd be interested in making some more mounts for other people if there is enough interest. The kit will include the frame mount, a spacer, a fork mount and hardware for the mounts you'll have to supply your own damper. He is estimating that it will be around $100 to make it worth his time but that's just a rough estimate it could change either way. If you are interested let me know by responding to this thread.

I forgot to mention that we aren't a big company or trying to become one. My friend is just going to be making these in his garage. He might be able to anodize them as well but the price will go up for that.

I'd be interested. I think that a steering damper is the one thing the SE is missing. I'll be interested to hear how much mounting effort is required, and what your experience is with it after you've put some miles on it.
I think you've done some great work in brainworking this.

My friend might have found a way to bring the cost down by ordering some parts and making the spacer work with them. We're waiting on the parts to come in to try it on my bike.

Re: Would you be interested in a steering damper mounting kit?
Hey guys
I met up with cOoTeR this weekend at the 1/2 mile event in Gila Bend (whole reason he needed the damper).
I saw the damper setup this weekend and it definitely fits the bill. I think you guys would be happy with this setup especially if the damper has been revalved with the proper needle and proper oil. The OEM ZX-10R manual dampers have a history of being very underwhelming in terms of performance seem more of an afterthought and selling point rather than an actual working damper despite having an Ohlins sticker on them.
