Champ87, did you leave your OEM key hard mounting on the tree or remove it?
For my old 14, I removed it from the tree and then modded the upper mount.

I left it in place. It is disconnected so serves no function other than the limited protection it provides as a steering lock. The main reason I left it in place is because I just couldn't be bothered to remove the top triple clamp to remove the anti-tamper screws.Prof J wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2019 6:37 pmChamp87, did you leave your OEM key hard mounting on the tree or remove it?
Hi Champ.Champ87 wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2019 1:35 amAs I mentioned in an earlier post, my friend DEcosse doesn't sell his keyless systems as a business. But he does get a constant stream of inquiries, most through the Triumph forums, and is usually willing to make one if asked.
I can't really tell you the cost. Mine was the first system for an H2 SX SE so it was a development project with me doing a lot of work myself with DEcosse's guidance. With that in mind, I'd be seriously pissed off if DEcosse sold you a system for anywhere close to what I paid. Maybe he will.![]()
If you're interested then PM me and I'll give you DEcosse's email address.

Yes, totally. However, if you don't bypass the sidestand switch then you must put the sidestand up to turn ignition On using this keyless system. Once ignition is on you could put the sidestand down and start the bike just the same.Buco-69- wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2019 8:47 pmI just have one question. Is it possible NOT to bypass for the stand??

Eventually I found needing to have the kickstand 'up' to start the bike more inconvenient than it was worth, so I de-inserted the kickstand position sensor from the back of the kickstand, leaving in in the 'up' position, so it disables the need for the kickstand to be in the 'up' position so start the bike.Champ87 wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:21 pmYes, totally. That's what Kawasaki has given us. We tried to find a way to make it work but, in the end, tricking the system into thinking the sidestand is up was the only solution.
