Question for people who have the vcyclenut flash, specifically Sprint filter + slipon flash.
Edit...
NOTE: THIS IS **NOT** PART OF THE ECU/TPS CALIBRATION PROCESS AFTER A REFLASH. FOLLOW VCYCLENUT'S PROCEDURE!!! THESE ARE MERELY THE STEPS TO SEE IF YOUR PREVIOUSLY FLASHED BIKE HAS THE SAME BEHAVIOR AS MINE.
- Set engine braking (KEBC) set to "Light"
- Turn off ignition.
- Turn ignition back on, start bike giving no throttle, let idle settle after a few seconds.
- Lightly blip throttle and release.
The question: Do your engine revs go up to about 5K then just stay there (engine doesn't return to normal idle)?
I ask because mine does with KEBC set to Light, but acts normal with KEBC Off. I've exchanged several emails with David about it but not sure what's going on. I'm afraid I might have screwed up the TPS calibration process when I first fired it up when plugging the ECU back in before winter set in.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is part of your issue. I took my ecu in to my tuner to have them flash it back to stock when I was going to have the dealer do the center stand recall. Then later I took the ecu in to the tuner to have the tune flashed back into it. Both times the tuner told me to turn the ignition to on but don't start the bike, wait 30 seconds then turn the ignition off. Then turn it on again start the bike and let it idle for 30 seconds. He said this procedure was supposed to help the bike re-learn the throttle blade position but he said he didn't know how important it is.

The ecu image from woolich has issues with the ebc system when its on light it makes it idle high,
i have played with the settings for months and have it to where it does not do that any longer, but even when it did do that I never saw one idel that high, either way if you want to send it back i can reflash it and it wont do it at all and make sure you follow the procedure in the information sheet on initial restart.
You can also try disconecting the battery for a while then try the restart procedure outlined in the info sheet, see if that helps

I know we traded emails on this late last fall. I tried disconnecting the battery and redoing the procedure, but the very high idle with KEBC on still persists.
I might just send the ECU back for a reflash when I have the bike apart again to do some maintenance. I'll let you know.

Hmmm, this sounds like (K) Launch Control is on!
Sounds exactly like the description in the Owner's Manual.
It's bascially for when some A-hole Porsche or Tesla tries to beat you off the line at a stop light...
"Sorry Buddy, your $100K 'look-at-me' toy ain't gonna cut it today...."

Cant remember which tesla it was but its no joke. It would destroy this bike off the line. There is a video of this dude destroying everyone at the drag strip and he wasnt even using launch control.

So there’s a fire up sequence? That’s kind of a big real to me. Not sure I want to flash now. Kind of a turn off you could say. Plus who has time for 30 seconds? Sometime my wife calls and I have to leave my girlfriends in a hurry.

That sounds nothing like the launch control is on.

Its only the first fire up. Not every time. With woolich, its something like turn the power off for 10 seconds, press ok on the laptop, turn ignition back on and start...done.

No. Just a sequence you have to do for the first time after having the ECU removed and reinstalled.
