hi I am going through the running in stage , keeping it around the four thousand revs with no hard acceleration, after 200 miles I generally ease it to around 4500 revs , after the 500 mile running in do you still keep the bike down to around 5000 revs or do you take it higher for the next 500 miles thanks

Run it in the way you plan on riding it. All it needs is a few heat cycles to seat the rings in place. I took it easy for the first 600kms and then rode like normal which means doing some wot pulls up to red line.

I too followed manual instructions. Book says ride moderately at 400-600. I got to 500 and started riding the bike like I plan on riding each time out. Mainly cruising with some bursts of ride it like you stole it. Waiting for Saturday to take in for first service.
