If its anything like my zx14r, it will cause issues if the code is disabled with the flash but remains plugged in. You will get random power loss and then large power surges.

Once again I'm going to express I'm not sure. But in my opinion I think it would be best for anyone planning on doing the ZX10R headers to also plan on removing the O2 sensor. According to Facebook Vcyclenut is in Washington on vacation, but I'm sure he'll chime in shortly.

I have not done the ZX-10R exhaust nor do I plan to. But I am surprised at the amount of posts/people who decided to go this route at this time without understanding all that is involved. The first guy who posted on this forum about doing the ZX-10R header figured it out on his own and seemed to post all of the information as far as needing spacers, everything he needed ave did and what not.

Okay. Well then I guess she’s coming out. Where do I acquire a plug for the O2 sensor?

He posted almost everything. For me, I figured it’s worth a shot doing the 10r headers for the price and the sound. If it doesn’t pan out the way I would like then I’ll go another direction. I wanted a certain sound. That’s half the fun to me. My issues seem to be more about what the flash fully involves. I’ll be calling some fab shops today to see if anyone around here will take on the job of the spacers.

I have Vcyclenut's ZX-10's exhaust system and it's ridiculously impressive.

With the system and flash I removed everything, O2 sensor and Butterfly valve assembly, easy enough to accomplish if not tedious, the trellis frame makes it pretty easy.

I could not wish for more performance from this setup..... The Lextech exhaust sound is tame compared to some others (Vandemon) but I like that and sounds great when the revs raise. My ZX-14R has a full Muzzy with the M10 can and it's probably too loud, I love it but it's way loud.

My suggestion as far as spacers go is to contact Vcyclenut and see if he will sell you them separately, as almost all will attest he's a great guy and very helpful and accommodating.

So your headers had the additional spacers on it from the vcyclenut kit?

Yes. He shipped everything needed to bolt everything as is, the spacers were already installed on the headers.

Right on. Thanks for the info. If I can’t make my own or find a shop maybe that will be my go to. I’ll still ask if he would sell me some spacers. But I would imagine he’s already got them installed on the headers

Almost anywhere that sells automotive or motorcycle parts. Tell them you need to plug the O2 sensor bung. Should be a narrow band size.
