No worries and good luck. Like i said, i went to a metal fab shop and this was a unusual work order for them. They specialize in fabricating boilers, pipes and shit for oil rigs lol.

I have many options for the fab part I believe. Crappy part is I’ll have to probably wait another week till Friday before I can do anything.

I’m curious if you took any pics of your spacers you got back from the fab shop. Did they come out nice and fit well?

Did you take your headers up there and leave em with the fab shop?

Did they put them on for you or did you cut the spacers and put them on yourself?

Unfortunately i didnt take any pictures. I didnt bring the headers to them. Told them the measurements, i think they had to go a little bigger on the OD and thickness but they still fit fine. I had to cut a slit in each spacer and heat it up so i could spread them and get them around the pipes. Then used channel locks to close them back up

Sweet. That was my plan if I couldn’t figure out what else to do. Cut and heat up. Got my steel cutting blade for my compound miter saw yesterday.

Do you know what specific type of steel they used?

Doesn’t really matter too much but I know one guy used dom steel. And and another just used what sounded like a chunk of scrap steel. I hope that I can find someplace to do this soon. That exhaust leak was loud as hell. Planning on removing actuator and ecu today. Need to get that ecu in mail to vcyclenut pronto. Might as well since I have to wait anyways.

Cant remember what type of steal it was. I wanna say stainless but iiunno. Its been to long lol. You will notice alot more valve noise with changing the exhaust. I have no idea why but myself and a few others noticed the same thing. Almost like the oem header was dampening the sound of the timing chain.

As long as the noise is far less than what I was having. Like a constant knocking from the exhaust leak. Was obviously not good and way too loud. Really hoping the spacers work.

Questions on the cat cutout. What do you do with the exhaust valve cables and do you need a different O2 sensor? Should your ECU be flashed prior to doing this and will you be throwing codes? Can the exhaust valve be left in? Sorry if the questions are dumb, I'm new at this. Thanks :help: :(
