Re: Exhausted for looking for exhausts
I am planning on painting the grey end cap of the Graves exhaust black with high heat paint. I did this on my XR and it held up great.

Re: Exhausted for looking for exhausts
That would have been nice but if prepped properly the high heat paint should work out fine.

Well turns out the 16-17 headers do not work. .Raddy47 wrote: Sat Mar 30, 2019 10:19 pm Well.. sorry it took an extra two weeks but I was too tired first weekend and the next my work schedule changed so I really only had one day off.
Here it is and confirmed. A 2016-2017 set of headers from a zx10r on my 2019 se+
I was skeptical but for 60bucks couldn’t pass on the chance.
Obviously most are using the 2011-2015 headers.
Now that it’s fitted.. I just ordered my exhaust.. no guarantees but I did order a mid pipe that is different from the one that comes in the kit and is similar too the Yoshimura alpha 3/4 system that Snake is now the proud owner of.
For length overall to back can.. perfect. But as far as fitting into the chambers the 2nd one sticks out too much and the third one a bit. Not sure if I can solve with this years gaskets or if stacking gaskets is a bad ideas.. seems like it would be bad. Or if I can just use spacers between one or two gaskets. It’s that or I just buy a 2011-2015 headers like the rest.
Exhaust leak was the result.
Let me know what y’all think I should do now.
Here’s some pics of the almost perfect day.

Re: Exhausted for looking for exhausts
So is it that the headers dont fit, or they dont fit with that exhaust. Curious if it would fit with my yoshinura 3/4 exhaust as its ment for 2016+

Oh the can and pipe fit to the headers! But the headers I think need a spacer going into the block. Having trouble finding places that have 1 1/2” tubed welding steel.Snakes709 wrote: Fri Apr 19, 2019 10:09 pm So is it that the headers dont fit, or they dont fit with that exhaust. I saw another thread about this and that’s my plan is to try spacers. Someone said they would have extras but I haven’t got a response back yet.

I didn’t know it needed 5mm spacers till about 4hrs ago. How the F do I obtain these ? Or what did you do? Pretty sure all would be fine if I had the spacersSnakes709 wrote: Sat Apr 20, 2019 1:01 am Oh so you never installed the required 5mm spacers? Or it needs bigger?
