Re: Another ZX-14 to H2 SX SE Question (many ??s)
Hey Some Guy, congrats on your purchase!! I’ve had my 18 SX SE since May of last year and I love the bike. I’m 5’10” with about a 32” inseam. Flat footing the bike at a stop for me is no issue, but when I’m backing the bike up I have to be on the balls of my feet... I’m not sure if anybody else around my height have that same issue (and if they do what have u guys done to try to remedy that??) but other than that it maneuvers fantastically. Bike feels very light when doing low speed maneuvers or throwing it around at speed. At no point does it ever feel like an almost 600 lbs bike. I absolutely love the led headlight on the SX SE. Lights up both sides of the road in a cone shape. The only gripe I have with the lighting is not with the low beam, but with the high beam not angling high enough and the cornering lights should be angled up slightly higher as well. Other than that I love the riding position of this baby. Def not as overly aggressive as the rest of these sport bikes on the road. I’ll stop rambling but I hope u enjoy your new bike and ride safe brother.

Re: Another ZX-14 to H2 SX SE Question (many ??s)
Jkwan,
I read your post with interest because I came from the factory with about the same dimensions as you (5'10", 32"). Coming from a 450 lb. BMW I was a bit nervous about the SE I will be picking up next week. As with many (all?) Kawi dealers, mine would not allow a test ride, but I did paddle it around, backwards and forwards, turning in "reverse" to get into a parking space -- all to test this very issue.
Obviously I would not have plunked down a deposit if I didn't give the bike passing marks. But I will be darn sure never to park nose-in to the curb in one of those downward-sloped spaces.
As for the lights, it looks to me like both the head and cornering lights are adjustable, though I believe the latter require hookup to the dealer computer thingy.
Hope to see you on the road as I pass through CT on my way to VA in June.

Yes, headlight and cornering lights aiming is done with adjustment screws. For cornering lights you turn them on through the menu settings on the display. The procedure is described in the Periodic Maintenance section of the service manual.danham wrote: Fri Mar 22, 2019 1:46 pmAs for the lights, it looks to me like both the head and cornering lights are adjustable, though I believe the latter require hookup to the dealer computer thingy.

I can’t believe some dealers don’t allow test rides. My neighbor is shop foreman where I bought mine. He brought it home Saturday evening on Labor Day weekend and left it at my house until that Monday. Lol.

Mine let me. I bought 3 bikes from one dealership and they kept fucking me over for demo rides. So i went to another dealership and they had a demo bike with 0kms on it but they only do demo rides once a year. After explaining my back injury and needing to know if i can physically handle the bike before i buy it, they let me take it out.Palmer812 wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2019 10:43 pm I can’t believe some dealers don’t allow test rides.
