Tracker low battery warning.

Post by Arthurgee » Wed Feb 27, 2019 4:55 pm

Some advice for you tech gurus please. i have the bike sitting with the optimate trickle charger plunged in and its reading regular voltage i would expect, however the tracker fitted from bike track, suggests low internal battery and only reads 9.18V. BikeTrac say its possibly the optimate that's not charging the battery. I've checked this, and the inline fuse is good, and it is reading similar on this battery and when connected to the caravan battery, so inclined to think its not the bike battery. I had it out at the weekend for a good run with no issues. I started it up and it ran no problems. Surely with only 9.10V in the battery it wouldn't start? Any one else got a tracker fitted form bikeTrac? had any issues the same?

Folks,

I've sorted it. it appears i was having an earthing issue that as causing the wrong reading on the Biketrac app. I've been out, rechecked the wiring and one of the terminals was slightly loose. its not secure, so hopefully this clears the low battery voltage issue.
