This is how a caged in tiger must feel, upon release!
Hitting the road on early Sunday morning with Kylie Minogue´s "Dancing" loud on my ears in my helmet. Zig-Zagging around road marks just for fun! Made my way for the Indeman!
It was a chilly 5°C and while intentionally riding in my leather suit and summer gloves I do admit I had the heated grips set to level two. Given the sun shining so brightly, I left my Rukka Realer winter suit behind along with the clumsy winter gloves.
The Indemann is a steel construction owned by the company operating the open pit mines in the area and (probably) set up for PR purposes. Anyway it is a nice ride there, when taking country roads.
The construction is 36m tall and is made of 280t of steel. As usual I parked directly in front of it and surprisingly was the only motorcycle there. Early bird?
Inside you get an impression of space enclosed and yet a view to the outside.
Apart from the top, a cool place to be and to look down is in the outstreched arm. Only max. ten people at a time are allowed there,
but today I was incredibly alone! Could even leave my helmet and comfortably step back to take a picture!
Looking down approx. 20m gives you a funny feeling, especially, if there are people walking around down there.

Take all of the 216 steps up the stairs to the top and you have a nice view. This is the power plant supplying Aachen with electricity and further off to the right is where I live.
Later on I rode roads around some of the open pits to this sightseeing place to have a look at the ongoing filling of the pit.
Brethren, may we all ride fast & far (forever)
Godspeed

Sweaty Suit...
...had mine serviced and treated and repaired at Dainese in Molvena Italy in the mean time. Came back right as rain in Feb. The Wife even lets my drop it off in the living room again ;-)
Cheers Mate!
