hugger and new screen
Well i decided to get a little bit of bling for the SX. A hugger from prowerbronze to match the yoshi Alpha, and a green screen. Was not sure about the screen at first, didn't want to bring the class of the machine down, however now its on, it doesn't look to bad i think, whats your thoughts?

Re: hugger and new screen
I've been thinking of adding a hugger to my bike. I've liked them on many previous bikes. Especially the sport tourers were long use can throw lots of road crap up on the swingarm and shock. Thanks for the pictures.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity

Re: hugger and new screen
I've also gone for the carbon hugger, it looks good.
I was hesitant to try the green screen, and have to agree it actually suits the bike better than expected. I went for the powerbronze extra high tinted, but now regret my choice, thinking it looks odd, so have ordered the Puig screen in black instead.

Re: hugger and new screen
Does anyone have a link for the carbon fiber hugger? I can only see a plastic one - is it carbon or hydro dipped?

Uk site has the options in the drop down menu, but the carbon options are showing as out of stock (though can preorder it looks like)
I ordered mine when at motorcycle live last year, went with the gloss carbon with black mesh.
Not genuine carbon unfortunately, only a carbon effect.

Re: hugger and new screen
Does the screen do a better job of keeping the air off the rider than the standard SE talk screen?

I am sorry to say this, but I don't like the green windshield. It looks cheap to me on this bike.andymap wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:00 pm Does the screen do a better job of keeping the air off the rider than the standard SE talk screen?
I think there are no screens for this bike keeping air totally off rider. Taller screens normally means heavy buffeting. If buffeting is a problem, why not go the opposite way?
I use this one: https://www.kawasaki.de/de/accessories/ ... VsKDVpdXVE
The same screen as on the non SE, but tinted. It looks sporty on the bike and the problem with the annoying buffeting is gone.
Some say this screen is only available in Europe, but if you contact your dealership, hopefully they can get one.
You can find them on ebay as well:

Re: hugger and new screen
I ordered that same screen directly from a dealer in the UK. I also like it better than the OEM SE screen--it moves the air blast from my head to my chest with no helmet buffeting and looks better.Gadus wrote: Wed Mar 27, 2019 8:40 amI am sorry to say this, but I don't like the green windshield. Re: hugger and new screen
I've considered that same thing. Currently with oem se screen. Wind noise is pretty bad around the helmet and I commute on the highway ~90mph. If I go full tuck I can get low enough to get nice and quiet behind it but isn't great for more than a few minutes and limits my sight for sure.
Was debating the taller ones for allow more of a half lean forward possibly getting the wind to the top of my helmet, or whether I just go short and ride in the air. I'm hesitant about the 2nd because I noticed on my old vulcan S, when I removed the windscreen, at least with that bike with the full wind hitting me I'm holding on for dear life at 70mph. (I would think not as bad since I'd still have half my body covered by fairing/front unlike pretty open/naked cruiser.
