Overhere they say 800 bikes (both SX and SX SE) for 2018 are planned.
I guess that's worldwide??

You might have to use google translate :help:

Wow, per that page.

Expected release date - March 1, 2018
Annual planned sales - 800 models with both models (2018 model)

Could the "with both models" mean 800 of each? 800 total does not seem like a lot.

It looked like it said "planned sales" hopefully they make a few more than they are expecting to sell just in case more people want one. I'm just hoping I get mine really.

That's sounds really low. My first thought was maybe 800 for just Japan...but that might be high. 800 worldwide would make it quite rare.

A buddy of mine said that the original numbers for the R1M were 500 world wide but it sold so well they upped it to 500 per country/ market.

Wow, if it really is 800 bikes world wide and that includes both the base and the SE, then it will indeed be a very rare bike. Time will tell what the real story is.

Not sure but something for the hub recall listed 384 2018 units at 100% affected (from memory, not looking at it).
If that’s legit, there’s our answer.
