However the guy doing it wants to know if the tail signals and tail light flash when you turn on the hazard flasher WITH THE KEY OFF.
I have my bike all apart making mods and the battery is disconnected and of course my tail light is away being modded. Can someone test whether the hazard flashers work with the key off? LET ME KNOW WHETHER JUST THE TURN SIGNALS OR TAIL LIGHT BLINKS OR BOTH.

Looking at the wiring diagram you can see that for US models the key must be in the "On" position (kinda dumb really).
For Euro models the key switch has a park position. The hazard flasher will work with key in either "On" or "P" position.
Hazards do not work with ignition "Off".
BTW - it would help if you added location to your profile.
It's amazing how fast you can go when you take your time.
