I'm not qualified to say 100%, but if it were my bike I wouldn't feel any immediate need to get it flashed. I would enjoy what's left of the riding season then pull the ECU over winter.CiscoKid wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 4:30 pmHowever I just got bike, spent enough and its is soon winter here , in time I will eventually get flashed. I have the Alpha pipe at home , looking forward to installing it

Re: Yoshimura Alpha Slip-on Questions
I swapped out for the ZX10R header. My ECU was already flashed for stock exhaust but I haven't had the flash updated yet following the exhaust change. I'll pull the ECU and send it to vcyclenut for reflash over winter but lack of reflash hasn't bothered me or caused any catastrophic problems.

Re: Yoshimura Alpha Slip-on Questions
Now is the best time to ship it out. As for the warranty, if its really important to you, leave it stock. That being said, my bike has been tuned for 2 seasons and added the intercooler last winter and no issues. Runs better/cooler then it did stock.CiscoKid wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 5:13 pmI am done for season now:) That would be plan on ecu, I just have some concern on warranty as I have 4 yrs. Re: Yoshimura Alpha Slip-on Questions
I hear you and do know I will flash, just perhaps not this season. Had a 15 WRX new, flashed it within 7000km and then went deep, never an issue , and I would expect same w the bike , just alot of other goodies I would like to do and then flash following. I will get there, for sure. What are you at for miles? I may be your way next summer, I am planning to get some good km's this summerSnakes709 wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 2:18 amNow is the best time to ship it out. I am at 14,000kms with 4 track days (2 with and 2 without the intercooler) and a few drag racing events, so i would say 30-40 1/4 mile runs. Not to mention fucking around on the hwy. still running like a champ. That intercooler helped alot, especially for the track days where the rpm is always high, building heat. Looking forward to getting back to the Area 27 track in Oliver BC next summer. Not that I sorted out my front forks, I can push it abit harder.

Re: Yoshimura Alpha Slip-on Questions
Since I am in Canada it is a real pain to ship off my ECU, I am trying to find out whether we have a reliable source for flashing in Canada.
None better than Vcyclenut! And now he lives near Blaine, WA, which is not far from you! You could make arrangements to ride down and wait while he flashes your bike...!
