Hi only my third post so be gentle with me :D
I watched the brock video and didn't pick up on that one. good find.
I tested a new H2SX recently here in the UK , as a baseline to starting a job.
and in the UK on my dyno it made 180 SAE hp (183.4 DIN hp .( Everybody likes bigger numbers )
torque was 96.2 lbs SAE
my air pressure was 29 .3
temperature 67.6 degrees F
rear wheel horsepower
my dyno is pretty comparable to a lot of the leading Dyno's in the country with its figures with other bikes.
so I think we have a good one .
when it comes back I will check the boost pressure as this was an ex-demo bike :D
You can see why I am worried about the higher numbers , but at least I have a start point.
:D If I can video it we will :D will have to have a word with the owner :D

Its pretty much “my bike made 230whp so its bullshit yours made 231whp, you got a high reading dyno”. Or “you havent posted a base run so you cant make 240whp”
This isn't unique to this forum. I've been running motorcycle websites and forums for 18 years, one of which had post numbers counted in the millions and members in the 10s of thousands. This behavior is very common.

Brock. I want to know where you are at with the production of the Alien Head full system and a flash for that.

I hope you take this post as constructive criticism Brock and not a personal attack.

It's not that people doubt anything accomplished here. People have been able to create similar results gaining 50+ WHP in peak power gains on this bike with no pipe and no filter relying just on ECU changes alone.

I think what more people have issue with is sometimes the claims made and presentation can be a bit misleading. And a lot of times, in your favor. Case in point the questions that people have raised about the run dates/times being six months apart. Granted correction factors are in play but it would've been harder to make power in the conditions seen during the baseline testing process compared to the conditions that were more conducive to making good numbers in the final testing.

Anyone in our industry knows that numbers sell. They also know that 3-4 out of 5 people walking in our door are just after a number on a piece of paper based on what they see on the internet wanting exactly what they saw down to that last tenth of a horsepower. But when they don't see that same final number the customer gets pissed and thinks we're the ones that are stupid completely ignoring that they got similar or more gains and it's just the final peak power number that doesn't line up. But they're pissed because they saw something on the internet and no matter how you explain it to them, a lot of them just don't, or don't want to, get it. So then they go down the road to the next shop and the first thing out of their mouth is how Joe at Dynoland doesn't know what he is doing and couldn't get the same results Brock did on YouTube. This shop then will do anything in their power to make those exact numbers; whether it's questionable acts like adjusting tire pressure, strapping down a bike super tight, what-have-you and or having them purchase extra unneeded products, labor and tuning. They will do anything in their power to make that happen because they don't want to be the shop being bad mouthed if this customer goes somewhere else or their name smeared online.

Prime real life example. Customer 'A' sees your "276 WHP" H2 video, watched it, bought every single item in your bolt on package that was offered. That was then the expectation that customer had in his mind. So when the drum quits spinning and it says only 240-something; he was livid and it was instantly the tuners fault and something he did or did not do and his dyno was shit. There was no winning here. Fast forward customer 'B' with another H2 stops by for tuning with only a full exhaust system and Sprint filter done. After tuning the bike it put down a short and curly away from 30 horsepower more than Customer 'A'. Customer 'A' hears this, comes back and is furious about it and why his bike didn't do the same thing even though it "had more done".

This is the stuff that pisses people off who work in our field. This why a lot of tuners in tuning shops have a lot of issues with the stuff you present and I hear it repeatedly from friends who also work in the industry. Customers have their expectations set and don't have the knowledge or ability to comprehend the science or math behind it all or are too pissed to listen to it be laid out and explained for them. Forget the fact the bike absolutely rips and this is what the customer should be focusing on but they're too busy raging over a god damned number. They paid for a number and damnit they want that number. If you don't give it to them, they're out the door and on to the next while smearing you and your reputation along the way. They are a lot like Harley owners in the sense here is my bike, here is my credit card and make it do this. But unlike Harley riders who just want a lot of cool trick shit and features to show off to their friends as well as a bike that rides and performs great, these customers just want a number on a piece of paper from info/videos they saw on the internet so they can brag at bike night and go do pulls on the freeway like their idol 650dweeb, er, 650ib on their way to Starbucks.

Finally there are the other times when people with the pedigree who have questioned things either done, said or presented by you or your team online and their comments get hidden or deleted and in some cases blocked on your social media feeds. Some, probably rightfully so. But others simply brought things up in the name of discussion. In some cases they get blowback being labeled as another "internet know it all" or "keyboard jockey". Those not in the industry laugh about it as you're their beautiful, bald horsepower Jesus whose goatee smells of MR12 and you can do or say no wrong and everything you say is gospel. All the while you get to use your name/rep as a shield to stand behind looking golden of which you have earned that name and reputation rightfully so from your years of experience and results. Although you have definitely earned that right to do so, but in actually doing it, it doesn't always look good. There isn't always only just your answer, your results or your methodology. It is possible for others to be correct in these areas as well. People look up to you and respect you. On the other hand, a lot of people also loathe you and despise you. Success is both a blessing and a curse. Similarly if you have absolutely everyone in agreeance with you and no one calling bullshit then you're obviously not doing something right. But not everyone is out to discredit what you say or what you do or drag you through the mud. I personally am not your biggest fan as we have had our dealings in the past and you have wronged a few friends of mine. Despite that, I do respect you and I do applaud you for taking the time to do what you do; something I wish more people in our industry but most of us simply don't have the time to do so. Cheers.

I’m kinda guilty of this myself as a customer. I got to hung up on numbers and cost me alot of money. Had a cobaly ss supercharged. First person in Canada to purchase the tvs supercharger. Seen results of a few guys in the states and was shooting for those numbers. Didnt make anywhere near the numbers as i was still running stock exhaust and i knew this. Changed the full header back and it sounded like shit. So embarassed to drive the car the way it sounded. Only made 289whp but other guyd were making 300+. My tune was pretty aggressive as well with mmeth injection. Got pissed off at the low numbers, traded the car in for a 370z with a crap load of negitive equity. Biggest mistake ever. Not only did i sink myself into debt but i was pissed off at the cobalt and didnt really research the 370z which was a horrible car.

This is business… We can’t make everyone happy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try. We are human… so sometimes we fail – we don’t let it discourage us, we simply move on and try to get better next time.

It is a shame to me that many of today’s consumers have become so jaded from over-advertising and deceptive practices that they simply cannot accept honest results.
Anyone who knows me personally would laugh out loud at the idea of me misleading anyone. But I don’t need to defend myself, only educate...

That’s why I like racing so much - it silences the critics. Dyno results mean absolutely nothing when the scoreboards or time tickets tell the tale. Let’s take our 274 HP H2 kit dyno results as an example. The bike, set up 100% as we raced it **ONLY produced 249 RWHP*** on the Sport Rider dyno… yet it blistered the Mojave Magnum’s 1.5 mile surface with a gearing-limited 226.9 MPH at a corrected altitude of over 5500 ft. This has been well documented in forums and on social media, but if you aren’t paying attention/or blinded by rage, you won’t ever know the FULL story. Only recently have our initial H2 speed records been broken, and that’s been by highly modified bikes, as opposed to our 100% bolt-on/stock motor efforts. We returned the bike in that article to Kawasaki as we received it.

Check out the article here: https://www.sportrider.com/kawasaki-ninja-h2-unleashed

On a similar note: I have still not seen another stock wheelbase H2 get into the 8’s in the ¼ mile. Please let me know if anyone has heard otherwise.

I would like to remind everyone that absolutely no one is being FORCED to view our videos or adhere to our recommendations….

Our YouTube, Social Media and Brock’s Forum policy is simple: if you are positively adding to the conversation in a manner that can help educate viewers and make motorcycles more enjoyable -- WELCOME! Glad to have you aboard :D . If not, your comment(s)/account will be reviewed by our staff and any account deemed spam/fraudulent/troll etc… will be immediately blocked and comments deleted. It’s sort of like having a strict teacher in grade school, the majority of the class can’t learn properly if a of couple bad apples are being a constant distraction. There are plenty of other places for the unruly to go to spread toxicity and this teacher has a zero tolerance rule.

For those of you who truly appreciate that a “free” 30 min YouTube video can take over 100 man hours to produce and that most ‘experts’ wouldn’t dare put their personal and/or business credibility on the line in an attempt to have fun with motorcycles and post honest/educational results (instead of hiding behind a screen name to protect their anonymity…) – THANK YOU!

For the Record: At no time did we state that the SX results shown were associated with individual product gains, which would require same day (we prefer same hour) testing. We simply displayed a BEFORE (stock as delivered after a brief break-in on the dyno) and an AFTER (modified COMBINATION of products as described) in a short 8-minute video. We have piles of product testing/procedure videos, and we try to avoid being redundant. I was personally stunned by the performance of the SX and couldn’t wait to let our viewers in on the gains.

Once again, anyone who feels they (or their friends…) have been treated unjustly by me or our staff can contact me anytime at the contact info. I supplied previously.

I must get back to the business of running a business now. Happy Chatting.
