Re: Brocks Pulls 240HP
I just noticed from his video that the base run and the tuned run are 10 months apart... hum! Wonder why.
I also noticed this from his videos.
Baserun (168.85whp)
Temp: 88.30F
Pressure: 29.31in-mg
Humidity: 61.58%
Tuned: (240.79whp)
Temp: 69.48F
Pressure: 29.43in-mg
Humidity: 16.41%
He can keep his inflated flash.
Ill stick with the one that put the most time and provided consistent data.

Re: Brocks Pulls 240HP
There are definetly some shenanigans going on there. I lost a lot of respect for him when he claimed the bike is making 81hp at redline. That statement is obviously BS. I also noticed he has the redline bumped up 800 over stock.

Thats what people do best on this forum. Call out anyone that makes more hp then their bike did lol. I cant wait until i dyno my bike and show the results without a base run. People are gonna be jumping all over it.Zotto wrote: Thu Jan 17, 2019 11:36 pm Interesting... cant slide anything by you guys.. I'll give Brock one thing though, he's not trying to hide this info from anyone, Dyno charts are posted on his website with all the same info as in the screenshots.
What's shady though is that he leaves alot of room for misinterpretation of his charts, making it seem like he's the one who's tune provides the highest gain in HP, with a simple slip-on.
Maybe I ought to open a mobile dyno shop up north where average temperatures are -30F with low humidity and 'legitimately' claim 280HP without baseruns. Oh wait. that's shady.

Re: Brocks Pulls 240HP
I’m not saying he is or isnt making more hp then anyone. I’m saying that this forum is notorious for people calling bs if numbers dont match theirs. Its pretty much “my bike made 230whp so its bullshit yours made 231whp, you got a high reading dyno”. Or “you havent posted a base run so you cant make 240whp”

Re: Brocks Pulls 240HP
No people get called out when they are asked how they got to a certain hp but they get shady and hide the truth. The issue with the baseline is that it is important to see the actual gain made since all dynos read different. When a baseline is done but never shown that is suspicious and people will suspect something is being hidden. Kmann was not given any grief about not having baseline because he was upfront about not doing one and why he didn't. He also explained all the stuff he did to his bike.Snakes709 wrote: Fri Jan 18, 2019 3:59 am I’m not saying he is or isnt making more hp then anyone. I'm pretty sure you are most likely referring to me when you are saying this forum is notorious for people calling BS. It was in one thread so it's a stretch to say it's "notorious" for people calling BS. The whole root of that thread was a company implied that an H2 SX SE made a very high level of power without saying what was done to the bike other than their product. The member who's bike it was is on this forum so I asked what the baseline was and what else was done to the bike. They never admitted what else was done to the bike and refused to show what their gains were by stating what the baseline was. The mods that were known on the bike made it hard to believe that the power was accurate. So it was either a high reading dyno or other mods had been done. So I questioned it. Turns out that there were other mods done to the bike even though the bikes owner didn't admit it even though they were asked. I have since reached out to the other person and tried to make amends and explain my point of view. They ignored it and never responded.
The video above is a great example of a spin doctor using dyno tricks. I really liked Brock but it's a little shady comparing dyno numbers from the summer to numbers in the cold Ohio winter. Then trying to compare the hp after the bike is bouncing off of the rev limiter to the same rpm after the limiter is bumped up is shady. I don't blame him he's making money and it's his business he has to support. His tunes redline is higher than most h2 sx tunes by about 300rpms so on the same dyno it should make more power with the higher boost. But I think that if he did 3 or 4 runs back to back it will probably start pulling power. I also highly doubt that the exact tune would make similar power if it was run on the same day as the baseline.
The only reason I point out that it looks shady to me is that there are people who don't realize that dynos read different from each other and there are little things that dyno operators can do to show more power. There is more to the story and everyone should have the opportunity to know that.
EDIT: I was wrong, I thought the big temperature difference would have had a greater effect on the results. Brock took the time to put the bike back to stock run it again then did comparative follow up runs with the mods. The difference was relatively small.
I'm still curious what happens to the bike under worst case situations with the 13,300+ redline. I've seen my bike make great power with a more aggressive tune but once it gets hot on multiple pulls in a row the power drops 8 to 10hp. Going with safer timing the bike dropped about 4hp but stayed consistent at that power level for several pulls. With the higher redline comes higher boost which I would think would be more likely to cause this to happen. But if they've been able to tune the higher boost to make consistent safe power that's really impressive.

Re: Brocks Pulls 240HP
It wasnt just that post i was referring to. I seen it quite a few times. I never did a baseline on my bike before i tore into it this winter and will dyno tune in the spring. I could care less if people say it reads high or reads low. I know it will read low as my moded/tuned zx14r made 189whp which is just about what it puts out stock on paper. But i know damn well it was more powerful then stock. So when i dyno tune it in may and only make around 200 or 210whp, people are gonna say its a shitty dyno or shitty tune or something. Or if i made 250whp they will say its a high reading dyno all because no base run was done. I honestly dont care what it makes. The dyno could read 5whp for all i care. What i care about is how the bike is running. And i wish these videos would focus more on that then peak power. If i wanted a dick measuring contest i would toss stage 3 gears in there and ramp the timing up regardless of the health of the motor.cOoTeR wrote: Fri Jan 18, 2019 5:24 amNo people get called out when they are asked how they got to a certain hp but they get shady and hide the truth.
