I could care less what some busa owner thinks. Its why i never go there. 95% of the “bikers” that go to that tim hortons only ride in a straight line. One busa owner that i cant stand talks about how hard he rides because he can do 200kmh in a 70kmh zone on a straight road. His tires were damn near bald in the centre but brand new on the 2-3inches of the edges. I told him to come do a track day and he claim race tracks are for pussies. I dont even bother with them fools because i cant take them seriously.

I just put a deposit down on a new SE+ as well. Delivery in February. Getting excited! Looking forward to being back on a Kawi, my last was a KX250 2-stroke dirt bike.

Now, just gotta sell my '17 FZ-10 to make room for the new arrival...

I then changed my order to the SE+ after long deliberation. It had been easy to choose the SE over the base SX due to the large and very desirable list of additional features. However choosing the SE+ over the SE was much harder, since this list of additional features is not as extensive nor as desirable (and with an even bigger price increase). However, the one thing that was commonly mentioned by reviewers as missing, in a bike with a slew of awesome features, was semi-active suspension. In the end I went with the SE+ because this will likely be my last bike and I want it to be as enjoyable as possible.

In time, I will be able to determine if shelling out the $ was worthwhile. At the moment I really don't know.
How did you purchase the vehicle when they were still in production without a VIN number? They are apparently still on a boat headed to Californiland and will hit dealerships in the great land of USofA mid to late March. By the time these bikes cross over the socialist border it will for sure be late March to early April at least maybe later. Waiting shouldn't be an issue for you all I bet. Also why would you pay for the whole purchase right now and not be able to enjoy it. Should have invested that money in the greatest stock market just south of the border and enjoy some delightful returns orchestrated by the greatest DJ of our time.

I know you weren't asking me but back in Oct/Nov(?) I put $500 down for the first one to be delivered to Manassas Honda Kawasaki Suzuki in Virginia. I called the sales manager three days ago and ask if there had been any news, she said no. She looked up some info on her computer and said there had been no change in the schedule. She told it said 35% of orders would be fulfilled in Feb and the remaining 65% in March.

Well, here it is end of the day Feb 28th. And she hasn't called me.... :/

I called two other Kawasaki dealers in my area (Falls Church, VA and Woodbridge, VA). Neither of them have gotten any H2SXs in yet.

So we wait.....

I haven't actually fully paid for the bike yet. I just put $2000 deposit plus my 2010 ZX-14 as trade-in. Now we are in the first week of March 2019 and the bike should arrive shortly. Only then will I complete payment, get the VIN, set up insurance and take delivery. We are about 1 month away from riding season anyway, so timing should work out. That being said, waiting is getting more and more difficult.

Have you tried asking the insurer to insure it as a 1 liter Ninja?
