For what it's worth, I'll toss this out. Sometime ago I read an interview with a former motorcycle thief. He stated that one of the best things you can do to secure your bike is to cover it when parked. The reason is that thieves want to nonchalantly case the target to see exactly what they're getting into. Admittedly, for a short stop as you mention, a cover is not practical.
He personally didn't know of any thieves who lifted bikes into vans. His method was to hop on the bike, defeat the ignition lock and race the bike to a safe location.
Well, different countries, different cultures of theft :-(
When I got my CBR in March 2000 (brand new release in that year) I lived in an apartment with just a private parking lot in front of the building for me. I was looking for a garage, but until then, I parked there. I remember one night, after taking a leak way past midnight, giving the bike a customary check through the window, I saw the cover was gone! It was neatly folded from rear to front lying on the ground in front of the bike!
As I reread my post, mebbe I should have said "a good thing to do" instead of "best thing to do" regarding covering the bike.
But you're point on multiple deterrent methods is well taken, as well as being well aware of who's watching.

in Uk specially south in London you have to forget about the chains and disc locks

you need a very veyr good GPS system and a good insurer, because it will get stolen even if you lock it in front of a police station. on my SX SE i have a Biketrac , which is a bike tracker works with satnav technology. Even in side a van or under tick walls the signal is very strong. My Ktms, ducatis, been stolen many times and recovered after 2 hours max. when you bike moves without the keys it text you emails you and calls you in the same time

system cost £299 plus instillation and £99 a year subscription

The H2 SX is not listed. Do you know which Kawasaki model that is listed that fits?
Sent an email to their support and they came back with the "ROADLOK XRA JapanSport".
Aaron
The SE+ requires a different model of Roadlok since the SE+ has Brembo brakes. I checked with Roadlok tech support and this is their response: "The XRA Eurosport is required for this bike.
www.roadlokinternational.com/products/xra-307/ "
In short, for SX and SX SE use "ROADLOK XRA JapanSport" and for SX SE+ use ROADLOK XRA Eurosport.
