Re: How much boost is the H2SX going to be running?
According to this, right column second bullet, the aluminum airbox is capable of 2 atm of pressure (about 29 psi). But my guess is 20-25 psi for the SX. What's the boost on an H2?

Cycle world says the H2 max is 20.5 psi
https://www.cycleworld.com/2015/11/06/2 ... ifications
Bear racing (company that makes the supercharger sprockets says the H2 runs 19 PSI stock and blows off anything over 30psi

I'm pretty sure that I've read the redesign of the H2 SX engine is running less boost so it runs at a lower temperature. I'm just confused at how it's making the same claimed power with less boost and compression.

Re: How much boost is the H2SX going to be running?
H2 SX has a Higher compression ratio than the H2 (much higher). I think the SX is around 11:1 and the H2 around 8.5:1.
It is all kind of odd though to make the same HP if it is less boost. There are numerous other changes with the head, cams, exhaust, and intake that I would think would also contribute to less HP as well. Kawasaki's claimed HP numbers have always been a bit iffy when it comes time to dyno them though... I'm curious what the bike will actually put out. No word yet on if they kill the HP to meet emissions/noise standards either. All well possible the thing is is like 170hp without a tune/ECU flash. And in the end, it may not respond to a tune as well as the H2 did, which appeared to be pretty restricted from the factory.

I was mistaken about the compression ratio looks like it's 11.2:1 on the sx and 8.5:1 on the H2.kman0066 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2018 5:56 pmH2 SX has a Higher compression ratio than the H2 (much higher). I think the SX is around 11:1 and the H2 around 8.5:1.

The factory numbers for the SX are similar to what was claimed for both the H2 and the 2011-2015 ZX-10r. But both had drastically different real world dyno numbers when they came out.
