Geico has the SX and SE listed out as separate models...although their rate quote on it for me is completely absurd.
Same here.

Just an update that my final insurance coverage was actually less than the quote I got back in January (first post). $658/yr.

That's not too bad considering the value of the bike. Got a low deductible? That will increase the insurance cost too.

Here in Canada, my S1000XR costs $1,100+. I've added the H2 SX SE to the policy...for an additional $1,900. That's with the multi-bike discount, 3 cars and home policies with the same insurer. Count your blessings.

Still doing better than me.
Last year i paid £350 for my zx10r, 27, 6 years ncb, a dr10 and total loss claim for car.
This year, 28 and and 7 years ncb my insurance is £2500 for the zx10r and the h2sx. (h2sx would have been 2400 on its own)

Edit: actually rereading yours i dont feel so bad now consideirng my cost for both bikes with my claim and conviction.

Wow that's almost half of what I'm paying State Farm. But I do have a "collision" claim from a couple years ago when my ZX10R fell off of one of those hitch mounted motorcycle carriers while loading it.

What's your coverage and deductible? Mine is $100,000 property, $300,000 medical liability. Comprehensive and Collision coverage, $500 deductable with un insured motorist coverage. I'm paying $654 for six months.

That's insanely high, I don't have a perfect driving record. I'm 34 and I'm paying 420$ per year fully insured with 250$ deductible for the SX SE. Then again, in Quebec, insurance rates are low.

$643/yr w/ State Farm, though I have a $2k deductible and am a member of the frequent buyer club with 9 plans total - their noted "savings" # is huge...
I've been w/ SF for ages because they were the only ones willing to insure everything when I had a motorcycle, Viper, pool and German Shepherd - everyone else said I had to get rid of one item and spouses didn't count ;)
