SC gear mod
I have noticed that the upper SC gear used SX has the same part number as the lower H2 SC gear.
Replacing the gear on a regular H2 is said to give a 5% increase in boost.
Would I be able to swap out my upper SC gear from the stock 25T to a aftermarket 23T without having to reflash the ECU?
And what impact would this produce on the bike?

Re: SC gear mod
I cant say they will fit or not. If the shafts are the same they should. But you will need a flash/tune. Adding more boost is gonna screw around with the afr, add more heat and cause knock.

Re: SC gear mod
Ok good to know, I sent out a spare H2SX plenum I had sitting to get modded with an intercooler. I guess I'll start by lowering the temps.Snakes709 wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 1:07 am I cant say they will fit or not. If the shafts are the same they should. But you will need a flash/tune. Re: SC gear mod
I'm really curious of where the danger zone is on our bikes when it comes to boost. You would think being detuned and different impeller blades, making lower boost. Our bikes have a lot of room to play with when raising boost with the heat. However, the compression ratio being higher then the H2, its a crap shoot. If EC ever makes a intercooler kit specifically for our bikes, I will then change the SC gearing.

You must have been one of the guys who jumped on the plenums that were recently sold on eBay. There were two I saw and they sold fast.JonTheChron wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 1:21 amOk good to know, I sent out a spare H2SX intercooler plenum I had sitting to get modded with an intercooler. Re: SC gear mod
Besides the benefit of the intercooled plenum dropping intake charge temp - it also provides a more stable consistent intake charge temp - this helps with fuelling when boost is increased.
Any significant increase to boost may need a little bit of work in lowering compression to prevent detonation.
You will def need to retune.... dont forget to get the baseline graphs to show people ummkay?

Correct, I picked up my extra plenum from eBay 3 weeks ago.cOoTeR wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 5:32 amYou must have been one of the guys who jumped on the plenums that were recently sold on eBay. Re: SC gear mod
Don't forget the final graph either. People will know you're full of crap when you claim 250whp but can only find your graph for 230whp.2HYPR wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 7:44 am Besides the benefit of the intercooled plenum dropping intake charge temp - it also provides a more stable consistent intake charge temp - this helps with fuelling when boost is increased.

Re: SC gear mod
Fuck what people think. I wont post any graphs of what my bike makes. If they don't believe its making 1000hp, that's their opinion. On a serious note. I was debating doing baseline runs but I'd rather use that money on parts for my bike. To me, numbers are numbers. I don't really care what the bike makes on paper, as long as it feels good on the street/track. That being said, I do have a goal in mind for my bike but I learned the expensive way, don't chase after hp numbers on a dyno.cOoTeR wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 4:40 pmDon't forget the final graph either. Re: SC gear mod
Unfortunately guys, I won't have a baseline graph as I have shipped my ECU to vcyclenut for the reflash. =/
