Shift Warning Revs
What is everyone setting their shift warning revs to? I feel the 8000 rpm default is a little to soon. I think I will push it up to closer to 10K rpm.
I know this is a pure riding preference for each person, just curious to each persons preferences....

Re: Shift Warning Revs
I started with 8000 rpm, but I soon changed to 10 000 rpm. The light doesn’t flash every time anymore.

Re: Shift Warning Revs
I have it set at 11K. that give about 1.5K before the rev limiter kicks in which is about 12.5K.
I might back it off to 10.5K to give me more reaction time once it starst flashing.

On the touring dash, the gear indicator starts flashing just before the rev light starts in. Double the notice! lol

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity
Re: Shift Warning Revs
I have mine in the highest setting but my redline is +500 over stock.

Re: Shift Warning Revs
I just checked with my Queen in the garage and I have it set to be tripped at 10500.
I simply luv the sensation of the "schalt-blitz" going off and getting the "kick in the ass", when accellerating onto the Autobahn and still having some head-room.
