1/4 mile times?
Has anybody gotten some reliable 1/4 mile times on the H2 SX (SE)?
Tried launch control to get a time?
I've got an NHRA level drag strip within 40 minutes of me, and they often do street/grudge nights. Over 120mph I'd need to bring my full leathers. I'm not really a dragster, but with this bike it's an interesting concept.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity
Re: 1/4 mile times?
I haven't been yet. Ever since my local track became NHRA they've been enforcing that bikes capable of running under 10.99 in the 1/4 need a tether kill switch. Bikes capable of under 9.99 need an NHRA license.
I'm pretty sure the H2 SX SE will be under 10.99. I've been spending money on go fast parts and haven't bothered buying a tether yet.

Re: 1/4 mile times?
If the ninja h2 can do 10 sec. Between 10,50 and 11 is a good time.
It's kind sad that the VFR 800 can do 11, i throught the H2 SX outperform the VFR. The extra power, the extra lenght(for better stability and less wheelie), the extra torque.
If anyone can do a time below 10 sec, it's very good

Re: 1/4 mile times?
Ive ran 10.61 at an NHRA track in my area, many runs at 10.7x and i'm no expert.. bike was fully stock.
I just started amateur dragging this year.
Im certain that with the few mods comming to my bike this fall i can achieve 9.xx in the spring

What else are you changing on it other than exhaust and tune?JonTheChron wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 3:52 am Ive ran 10.61 at an NHRA track in my area, many runs at 10.7x and i'm no expert.. bike was fully stock.

Side note for guys that don't know. Elevation, air density, humidity, temperature, track prep and surface, ect. All effect 1/4 mile times. A vehicle that runs at sea level on a cool day is going to run measurably slower at elevation on a hot day. It would be helpful for comparisons to put the conditions of your runs if you can when posting time and mph.

Re: 1/4 mile times?
Sometimes air density ous on the slip. It wasn't necessarily directed to you. Just a heads up in general so people don't compare their time to someone running under better conditions and think there is something wrong with their bikes.JonTheChron wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 11:24 pmAir filter is also being changed. Re: 1/4 mile times?
I have never drag raced a bike, but I do have some experience with Corvettes. I have also been reading tests on bikes and cars for 50 years or so, and in the last several years been able to see road test (magazine) times versus forum times.
Having said all that, I’d be willing to bet a Ricky Gadson could get the bike, bone stock, well into the 9s at over 140 in decent conditions. Launching a bike takes some serious talent and LOTS of runs on the same bike.
