Hard bags?

Post by BoostedOne » Fri Dec 01, 2017 10:28 pm

Kawasaki uplaoded some new pictures and I noticed that the bags shown on the SE version are called an accessory. I thought they came with the SE version but you have to buy them seperate?

This appears to be true. If you look at the Kawasaki Canada site they have accessories listed for the H2 SX SE (I couldn't find them on the US site yet), and the bag system is there...

https://www.kawasaki.ca/accessories/str ... x-se/2018/

To build a complete mounting kit you need the following:
  • KQR 28 Litre Hard Saddlebag Set – 99994-0568 - MSRP: $945.50
  • Fitting Kit - 99994-0537 or 99994-1090 - MSRP: $157.72
  • Colour Matched Panel Set (top section) - 99994-0422-60R - MSRP: $205.71
  • Colour Matched Trim Set (lower strip) - 99994-0423-60R - MSRP: $59.14
  • Lock Cylinder Set (uses ignition key) – 99994-0407 - MSRP: $68.57
  • KQR 28 Litre Saddlebag Liners - 100LUU-0004 - MSRP: $154.21 (optional)
For a grand total of $1436.64 CN ($1132.53 US) + the optional liners.

The other option is to slap some ugly Givi bags on it.

That's crazy. Maybe the EU bikes come with the hard bags on the SE and that's why the price seems relatively higher for the EU bikes?

The EU bikes also don't come with them now that more info is available. I think some people just assumed, but given their prices there's no way they could add all those extra features and bags on top of it.

I might be able to get them cheaper through a third party dealer. I bought my VFR bags from a place in England because they were quite a bit cheaper than getting them from Honda directly.

holy shit, that's spendy considering these are the same bags used on the Versys and Ninja 1000, I think.

That would look weird as hell. The angular H2 design with smooth and bulbous Givi bags on it.
