Hard start
Hi everyone,
I've my bike since 1 month now. She always start on the first attempt.
Today, i stop for about 35 min. I had to start her three times until she stay at idle(with some difficulty). The two first attempts she hang after 2-3 seconds.
Happen to someone ?
My VFR 800 2017 never did that in 8200 km.
Regards.

Re: Hard start
A similar thing happened with my Triumph Sprint when I didn't use it for a while. Only ever happened one time. Some fresh gas in the tank cured the problem after a few miles of riding.Kwee wrote: Tue Sep 04, 2018 2:03 pm Today, i stop for about 35 min. Since your bike is new then the gas in your tank obviously isn't old. Any chance you filled up at a different location where gas is not so good?

It's amazing how fast you can go when you take your time.

Re: Hard start
That's normal the first time you start it. The fuel need to travel along the entire fuel system.Snakes709 wrote: Tue Sep 04, 2018 3:07 pm Mine did that the day i got it. Hasnt done it since. Took me 4 attempts to get it fired up. Only had 300kms on the odo at the time.
But on a warm engine that's odd. Maybe it's running to lean and can't crank easily once warm.
By the way, it's completely stock.

Re: Hard start
It wasnt the first start. Put 300kms on that day. Rode to the lake with my buddy. He had a couple smokes, i called my insurence company about something and then we went to head out. Took 4 attempts to get it to fire up. Been fine since.Kwee wrote: Wed Sep 05, 2018 3:01 amThat's normal the first time you start it. Re: Hard start
I have had the issue several times on warm starts. Sucks and makes me want a good flash to get over this smog BS.
