Re: H2 SX/SX SE recall
Hello all,
Kawasaki have indeed issued a recall for UK. here is a copy of an email I had last week.
So if you have a H2 SX or H2SX SE, call Kawasaki in your country to confirm your bike VIN is the the recall range
Hope this helps.
Best regards
K

Dear Kawasaki owner,
Our records show that you are the owner of the Kawasaki product detailed above. Kawasaki's continuous product quality monitoring has identified that a potential safety problem exists on your machine and we have initiated a recall to repair it.
On 2018 Ninja H2 SX SE (ZX1002BJF) model, improper welding of the spring mounting pin to the left side centre stand mounting bracket may cause a failure allowing the centre stand spring to fall off. This may cause the centre stand todrop and touch the ground while riding creating the potential for an accident. This problem can also affect the Ninja H2 SX (ZX1002AJF) model if the genuine Kawasaki accessory centre stand kit with part number 99994-1064 is fitted.
To overcome this problem Kawasaki has initiated a recall campaign to replace theleft centre stand bracket. The bracket installation will take around 15 minutes to complete.
Your Kawasaki dealer will carry out the necessary work at no cost to you. It is very important that you have this done so please contact them as soon as possible to arrange an appointment. To find your nearest dealer go to www.kawasaki.co.uk.
If you no longer own the machine detailed in this email, please reply to customerservice@kawasaki.co.uk to advise us of any changes.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused but we have taken this action in the interests of your safety and continued satisfaction with our product. If you have any questions, please contact your Kawasaki dealer or Kawasaki Customer Service 01628 856750 / customerservice@kawasaki.co.uk.

Re: H2 SX/SX SE recall
I got a call from my dealer yesterday here in VA. He was reaching all to all three who bought a H2SX there to let them know about the recall.

Re: H2 SX/SX SE recall
I was at my dealer today to have the left plate of the main stand exchanged.
When I received the bike again and left the dealer, a thought occured to me, though: I went through the effort getting there, moved some time on my job to another day and Kawi just exchanges that plate to undo a glitch they can be accounted for. I don't and for sure can't expect any form of reimbursement, but hey man, some recognition? A T-Shirt, a Hoody..., just symbolic?
The dealer was attentive, though.
Plus, I got a really justified reason to ride an hour and back home on the Autobahn ;-)

I received the recall letter in today's mail. Have not heard further from the dealer since my phone conversation with them last week.

As my gunsmithing school instructors would say, (I highly recommend) contact the dealership tomorrow.HouTexH2SX wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:10 am I received my recall letter today as well. Need to contact my dealer to see when they will have the replacement part.

Re: H2 SX/SX SE recall
US Kawasaki dealers received a 6 page Service Bulletin last week with details to install Center stand Kit Part # 99999-0688. My local dealer ordered the parts so I'm waiting for a call when the parts arrive.
Update 10/5/2018 : new part installed by dealer while I waited.

Re: H2 SX/SX SE recall
It’s a simple plate with several bolts, takes 5-10 minutes to replace, taking mine off myself, and replacing it myself,no need to take bike to dealer, other then to exchange the defective part for the replacement.
