kman0066 wrote: Thu Sep 13, 2018 1:16 am The switch worked beautifully. Just pop off the old switch and install the new one (clip off the metal tang on the new switch) Required some beers to install, so I'll test it out tomorrow.

What you need to install:
Brembo RCS master cylinder (I got the Corsa Corti version)
6mm tygon or similar brake hose (optionally just buy whole Brembo reservoir kit)
Marquadt 1022.2201 switch
Single banjo bolt for Brembo masters (comes with dual line banjo bolt)
Brake fluid

Tools
11mm, 12mm, and 14mm wrenchs
Basic Allen set
6mm Hose for bleeding brakes
Wire joining tools (solder, crimp, etc)
Electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing

To wire switch (switch side to bike side):
Brown to Black
Red to Red
Grey to Blue

Hi there, I'm following your instructions to upgrade my 2019 front brake mc. but the wire color on the switch which I found is blue, brown and grey.

The wires in the connector on my bike are #1 blue, #2 red/yellow, and #3 purple.

May I know how to wire the switch to the bike, please? and how do you know the switch works well? Thanks.

You can test the switch to figure out which wires to connect. Use a multimeter to check resistance across each pair of wires.
  • Without pressing the tab on the switch, two of the wires will give a closed circuit (0 resistance). Make a note of the colors.
  • When you press the tab, two of the wires will give a closed circuit (0 resistance). Make a note of the colors.
  • One of the wires will feature in both off those results - that will be the shared power feed that connects to the Red/Yellow on the bike.
  • The other wire from the first test will be for the cruise control that connects to the Purple wire on the bike.
  • The remaining wire - the other wire from the second test will be for the brake light that connects to the Blue wire on the bike.
When you get it connected, power is fed to the cruise control circuit until you touch the brake lever. The the cruise control is disconnected (if you're using it) and power is applied to the brake light instead

This postis for the brake upgrade, try searching for a clutch upgrade or wiring help, etc? If not then you could always start a new thread?

Dear all,
I don't have the exact same motorcycle type as in this forum, but I hope that we are all a big Kawasaki family and that I will find your understanding and help. I have a Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX / model 2021. I bought a Brembo master cylinder Corsa Corta RCS 19 and a Marquadt 1022.2201 micro switch based on your input. I am sending pictures of the connectors in the attachment and unfortunately the picture is not very clean about the color of the wires. I can't find anywhere on the net universe colour's wiring diagram .Can you help me which wire color refers to what, based on the attached picture of the connector / do you have any knowledge about wire colors?
Thank you in advance for your efforts and help

If you don't have wiring diagram - then test the continuity of old and new swithc and connect the same way.
