Removed Can
Ok I know people are about to just tear into me about how you should not do this and how its such a nice bike I cant believe you did this.
I removed the can off the bike and I am currently running open headers. Look, I am in the US and it is extremely hard to wait for someone to release a pipe that is readily available in the US. I ordered a Yoshi even though I want something smaller and louder but then they told me it was going to take 2-4 weeks to get to me. So while I wait for Brock to release a full system I will most likely go back and forth between open headers and factory can. I can tell you it is not THAT loud which was surprising but in theory the lack of back pressure should not be a big deal as with FI back pressure is not that huge of a deal.
I can tell you this bike sounds AMAZING the KQS puts a smile on my face EVERY time. I Love the way it sounds but at the same time I am already getting flamed for removing the pipe. I can tell you the swing arm/wheel is SO beautiful and now that I can see it I can't stop staring at it! I was wondering if anyone else in the US has done this out of desperation for more sound?

Unless you cut your mid pipe your not actually running open headers. There is still a pre cat and cat in that box just before the muffler.Delearious02 wrote: Mon Aug 13, 2018 3:01 pm Ok I know people are about to just tear into me about how you should not do this and how its such a nice bike I cant believe you did this.

Re: Removed Can
I get that it is not really open headers but I was trying to explain without the can. I do know that they have that but I did not see any pricing with the H2R instead of the other and last I checked it would be mid September before I saw the exhaust.cOoTeR wrote: Mon Aug 13, 2018 3:19 pmUnless you cut your mid pipe your not actually running open headers. Re: Removed Can
I’ll weigh in on this; if u want to make bike somewhat louder for safety reasons, you can mod the can,or u can wait until an American distributor has a slip on available (Brock’s)
(Don’t hold your breath
)or u can buy an Akra slip (waste of money),or a max torque from England,or a vandemon from Australia ($$$$$) personally,I modded can, 5DB louder at idle and at 6k ,and u can’t tell it’s been gutted!

Re: Removed Can
I messaged Vandemon directly. They said they will sell the H2R muffler as an add on to their standard kit (so you get both mufflers) for 3,490 Australian. In USD it works out to about $2,540ish. I'm waiting to hear from the US distributor on their pricing for the combo kit. I just ordered the standard kit and the distributor is going to invoice me when he figures out the what the additional cost will be for the H2R style muffler. He told me today that the standard kits should ship from Australia this week.Delearious02 wrote: Mon Aug 13, 2018 3:37 pmI get that it is not really open headers but I was trying to explain without the can. On the Vandemon site they have the H2R style muffler for sale as a slip on right now.

I am deciding on buying, just cant gather the courage to spend that much money without hearing the SlipOn. FYI I am interested to get the H2R Style SlipOn

Re: Removed Can
In person is going to be your best bet because videos can be misleading. But on the other hand chances of coming across another H2 SX SE are relatively low and finding one with just the Vandemon slip on is going to a long shot. On the Vandemon facebook page they have a video of the full system running with the H2R style muffler. It's in the comments under the video of their full system run.Amitgrover wrote: Thu Aug 16, 2018 8:49 pm https://vandemonperformance.com.au/coll ... s-mufflers
