TFT dash symbols

Post by UFO » Thu Dec 21, 2017 6:20 am

I think I understand all of the TFT dash symbols that I've seen in pictures. The last two are "CL" and the squiggly "S" looking symbol.

I believe the "CL" pops up when the cornering lights are activated. I have no idea what the "S" is. Does anyone have any ideas? BTW, the "S" is also on the non-SE LCD version, but not the "CL" that I know of.

Just a guess, but maybe the engine braking or maybe the quick shifter enabled icon ... ? Here's a whole list of some of the gadgets. Tried to find the H2 SX Owner's Manual, but it's not listed on Kawasaki's website yet. There are other 2018 Ninja models listed, so maybe one of those has the same gadget and dash icon. Click the "Kawapedia" tab down the page a bit.

Could it be an indicator for when the Slipper Clutch is activated?

After doing some more digging I think its for the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function. The dash symbol looks a lot like the diagram they have explaining it.

I agree, you probably see it when the cornering management kicks in...

The Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF) sounds a good explanation.

Nice. Seems like that indicator would always be on except when it's parked. :D
