Has anyone made the change to Lithium yet?
Just ordered this Motomillion Lithium Kit
apparently significantly lighter and the quick disconnect battery will hold charge longer when not ridden...
I'll put some pics up with weights when it gets here..

Not on H2, but I was using AntiGravity battery on my ZX14R for 3 years without issues. Make sure to get a quality Lithium charger as these batteries are fire prone and cannot be trickle charged.

I had an Alien Motion battery in my Zx10r I loved it. It held up longer than my stock battery did.

Re: Has anyone made the change to Lithium yet?
I'm assuming this is a lithium iron phosphate battery and not a lithium ion. Shorai fits into the former category, and I have experience with them. Roadczar is correct that a specific lithium charger is important. The Shorai one has multiple pins on its charging plug that charge and balance the individual cells. Lithium also does not do as well as lead acid batteries where parasitic draw exists (computer memory, clocks, etc.) with infrequent riding. They also do not do as well in cold conditions, and unlike lead acid batteries will sometimes need a load put on them to "wake them up" before they can deliver full cranking power. The weight savings are easily in the area of 5 to 6 pounds and I think the overheating and fire issue has been greatly reduced (at least with the Shorai) that it should not be a concern. They also do, in theory, have a longer service life than lead acid batteries.

I put a Shorai in mine. Good weight savings and it's been great so far. I've always had good experiences with them though.

I can confirm both of these. I had a Ballistic battery for a little over a year in my '08 Sprint ST. If it was below 60 deg I had to "wake up" the battery by repeated starting attempts first thing in the morning. Any other temp above that, it was fine. I also killed it stone dead by leaving it in the bike over winter(3 months) without charging it. The Ballistic battery charger I had wouldn't even recover it.FJR919 wrote: Thu Aug 09, 2018 2:16 pm Lithium also does not do as well as lead acid batteries where parasitic draw exists (computer memory, clocks, etc.) with infrequent riding. Having said all that, there are many happy lithium battery users all around the world. So just take this as one data point of many.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity

My experience is similar to stk0308. I've had 3 Shorai batteries and generally been happy with them. The weight saving is impressive but the cold weather performance is a little disappointing.
I gave more details in this thread that kman0066 started when he fitted a Shorai.

It's amazing how fast you can go when you take your time.
Re: Has anyone made the change to Lithium yet?
I've got a shorai in a 2014 bike as well as more recent models. No problems and still going strong. I keep all my Lithiums hooked up to a battery tender and have had no problems using that. I haven't found the shorai charger to be necessary.
I keep my bikes inside in a heated workshop, so no experience with cold weather starting but I've read the same things from reliable sources about waking them up.

I've a Skyrich HJTZ14S(Equivalent YTZ14S) since 2017 on my old VFR 800 2017. I put it on my H2 SX day one. Save a lot of weight up there. And she crank way better now.
