It's always good to get in a nice long demo ride before making a decision but usually that's impossible. I will be interested in hearing how you like the SE seat since mine was so uncomfortable after about 50 miles that I had to send it off to Sargent to modify and hope to get it back this week. I also found the legroom to be a little cramped so I put on the Knight Design lowering pegs that dropped them about 1 1/2" and it made a big difference. Otherwise, this is one fantastic bike.

I'm not too concerned with the seat to be honest because the zx14 seat hurt after 50 miles. I replaced it with a Sargent and love it so if I have to send this one to Sargent or wait for them to make a seat I will be fine. The stock seat on the 14 was too low at the front and put pressure on the nuts. With a passenger it was way worse because they pushed me forward. Riding the h2 solo last night I felt the seat was also too low at the front. I was against the tank like the 14 but didn't feel as much pressure if that makes sense. Kind of like I was sliding forward but all of weight wasn't pushing me forward. Obviously the passenger has their own seat so they definitely won't be pushing me forward.

Yeah, IMHO Kawasaki just can't get this seat thing right--the SE seat has the same problems as the one on a Ninja 1000 I had. No upward slope at the tank and too flat without any dishing (without lowering you)--I got a Sargent for it that they were making as a standard unit and it cured these issues. I basically told Sargent to do the same thing to the SE seat so I'm hoping it will be as good. Fingers crossed.

Well just got back from the mountains and got the thumbs up from the wife. Lol. It was great because my friend was with us with his 2017 zx14 so we rode the h2 to the mountains then switched with him and rode the 14 about half way home then got back on the h2. So the seat sucks but so does his stock 14 seat. Sargent will fix that for me soon. I kept sliding forward with my nuts against the tank but no pressure. On the 14 I was resting on the tank as well but had more weight pushing me forward. Leg room was better but not by much. But big difference with pressure on my wrists and shoulders. Way better with the h2. So tomorrow my buddy who got me the demo is gonna get me his best cash price. If he can match or beat another dealer that has it for $19,800 otd he will get the sale if not I will go to the other place. Either way I will have one in my garage by this weekend. Lol.

I think you have made a great choice... I cannot get my butt off this thing since the day I bought it. The only thing that amazes me is all you guys complaining about the seat... I regularly do 700+ Klm days and get off it as good as if I went on my K1600, I just can't understand it...

:) I think there are 2 factors concerning seat comfort. The longer your arms are, the farther your package is from the tank and the amount of cushion in your butt makes a big difference!

Well. She is home. Lol. Was slow at work today so I removed the front reflectors and all of the warning stickers. Btw the best way to remove the ones on the plastic is with steam. They come right off with no trace in about 5 seconds.

Riding style must make a difference too. Some riders sit with a lot of their weight on their butt. Others tend to use their legs more. I do both depending on the type of riding. To me the H2 SX SE seat doesn't feel plush but I haven't had any real issues with comfort either. There again, I've only done 200 miles in a single ride so far. I might see it in a different light when I do my first proper road trip on it.

BTW - I don't have long arms and I haven't suffered crushed nuts.
