HouTexH2SX wrote: Thu Aug 02, 2018 10:38 pm I received my Knight Design lowering pegs yesterday and installed them in about 15 minutes (it would have been even shorter except for those stupid circlips!). They lower your feet about 1 1/2" and make a HUGE difference after a 150 mile ride today. They are really nicely machined as well and I don't feel there would be any issue standing up on them--they cost $129.95 plus shipping and worth every penny IMHO.

Now if I could just do something about the seat...................
Thanks for the info regarding the pegs! And I agree with you 100% the seat is terrible. If you find something please post. I'll do the same on my end. (no pun intended)

I love the drop the pegs provide but you have to be conscious of them when you aggressively lean the bike over, feet and pegs will drag (especially feet)

Do you feel any difference in vibrations coming into your feet with these pegs?

I don't feel any vibration in the pegs.

If you drape your heels over the pegs instead of riding with the balls of your feet on them you can catch the toes of your boots on the pavement when aggressively leaning over. I haven't dragged just the pegs yet--not saying it's not possible. The most I've been is 48% lean.

I put the ZX14 pegs on my H2 the other day and it was a HUGE upgrade. I was not used to the lack of legroom coming from my Bking with dropped pegs and it caused me to feel awkward. Immediately after dropping the pegs I felt way more confident in the bike and I know this is only my personal experience but I thought it was a massive improvement. With all of this said I put about 100 miles on the bike(mostly city and back roads) with the pegs and the vibrations were not a big deal BUT yesterday I took out the bike for about 30 minutes (down the highway) and I could swear my foot was going numb but it started POURING rain so I had to head back in. I will take it out on the highway again ASAP and report back.

Just installed Knight Design lower footpegs for a Ninja 300.
They are beautifully machined (got the black ones) and fit perfectly with no interference with brake pedal or gear shift lever and make a noticeable difference just sitting on the bike.

I had to adjust the shift lever using the two 10mm nuts and adjustable rod, no problems. At first I tried just moving the toothed arm on the engine shift shaft one notch, but the lever then contacted the sidestand, so that was a no go and the shift shaft has a punch mark to indicate where the arm is supposed to attach, so I put it back it that way.

For the brake pedal, I did not have enough adjustment with the stock adjuster, so installed a Motowerk brakelever nut https://motowerk.com/collections/kawasa ... -lever-nut
and it works perfectly. You may be able to modify the stock nut by grinding/filing it down on top as it is just about 1/8" longer than the Motowerk nut, and that is the only difference I can see between the two.

Don't forget to check function/ adjustment on the cruise control cancellation switch at the rear of the brake pedal afterwards, as well as the rear brake light switch function.

Knight Design was super fast on shipping...had the pegs in just a couple of days and the lady was nice enough to call and leave a message, letting me know they would arrive via Priority Mail so I could watch for them...(turns out that was good, because I have a small mail box and sometimes packages won't fit and the mail carrier has to make several attempts to deliver...). I would highly recommend them. If/when it ever stops raining around here, I'll be able to test them out and post a report.

FYI, earlier I took a gamble and ordered the beautifully machined footpeg lowering brackets from Motowerk (trying the Ninja 1000 units), but they would not fit as the shifter side interferes with the abnormally wide rear portion of the shift lever. (when I called Motowerk earlier, they told me so, but I thought I would give it a go anyway and maybe try to modify them, but no go). So if anyone needs a pair for a Ninja 1000, PM me).

Took a 300 mile test ride the other day and the Knight Design lower pegs were a great improvement over stock.
At first, I found myself raising my foot too high when mounting the bike, out of habit I guess....lol
Didn't have to dangle my legs off the bike to relieve cramping as with the stock pegs. I'm 5'11" with 33" inseam.
I do prefer the stock rubber cushions, maybe just a bit more vibration with the new pegs on the left side (only if I was thinking about it real hard), otherwise not an issue.

I do prefer the grip/feel against my Sidi boot soles better with rubber to rubber. I asked Knight Design but they do not make a rubber footpeg for the H2.

I may try dipping them into Plastidip for a light coating.
