Right on thanks. Thats what i was gonna go for. Was the ecu harness long enough to reach to the back of the bike? Tons of room in the rear compartment and under the rear seat latch where the servo motor was.

What wire did you tap into for power? Installing my woolich system now. Used the positive wire for the brake light in my 10r and 14r. Just wondering if you didnthe same.

I don't leave the tuning stuff on my bike permanently so I wire the wide band box directly to the battery and unplug it when I park.

Otherwise I would use a relay with the energize lead to the tail light, and the others to the battery directly ( with an inline fuse). the wideband draws a good amount of current that I would not want on the tail light circuit

Ive had the woolich log box drain the battery when left plugged in so when I am tuning I plug them both in before each ride I want to log and unplug them when I don't want to or when I park. Literally takes 10 seconds

This is also nice because I can choose when I want to log and I don't end up with a file for every key cycle when I get home. I can be hard to remember what time a specifc part of the ride was that has the data logs im looking for.

Was this just with the SX or other bikes. I haven't had a single issue with it draining the battery or running off the tail light circuit. As well as there is a box you can check to not log when you don't want to. Did it a few times when I was forced to use a different brand of gas.

damn I screwed up all the quotes

there are two pieces, the log box ( woolich product ) and the wideband (forget the maker)

the wideband you could use the tail light as the hot or as the exciter on the relay and it wont drain the battery

the log box plugs into the woolich harness

the log box if left plugged into the woolich harness I have had issues draining the battery. It was on my ducati and maybe it was just bike specific. Ive never left it plugged in after that to see if it does

when im out riding I cant uncheck a box, but if it works for you, that's really all that matters,

I've left it on my H2 SX for weeks sitting with the log box hooked up, hasn't drained the battery. Ducati....yeah, I could see that. Heck, I had problems on my 1199 even without mods of the battery dying.

Yes, the Woolich harness is plenty long enough. It hooks up easily just like the instructions show. Only major PITA part of the install is removing the front fairing for access to the ECU. Probably took me a good hour installing it.

It wasn't actually that bad. I'm doing the zx10r header conversion, yoshimura exhaust, sprint air filter, block off plates and woolich setup, so it all had to come apart anyways. I say the "hardest" part of everything was removing everything connected to the heat shield on the rad. I ended up snapping the heat shield in half by accident as it was pretty cold in my garage so it was brittle. I'm actually shocked how Kawasaki fit the relay box, ecu and abs module all in that area.

I managed to install the header using a variety of sockets and ratcheting wrenches without removing anything but the right side fairing. Made it a little difficult getting in there to all the header nuts, but saved me taking apart extra stuff. Did the woolich stuff on a different day though. I test fitted the ZX-10R header and then was like, hey, this works, I'll just leave it on.

I wanted to do it that way but as you see in the picture, my bike is on its centre stand, sketchy as fucking hell on my lift, hence why I never raised it up. And I wouldn't have been able to get the mid section/cat out if I left the rad in. In any case, it wasn't that much work to do and I got nothing but time (about 6-7 months) to work on it over the winter. Also made removing the pairs valves abit easier as I can go through the front.

As an update for the Woolich O2 wide-band box, it now connects to power via the OEM O2 sensor plug directly. Very nice.
