less then a week delivery from England

quality is decent angles a little off but im picky

I took the db killer out as with the length of the can its pretty quite

bags fit fine

aprox 6 lb reduction from the stock can

if its not raining going to try to get up early tomorow head to the dyno and see what she makes. It is so hot and humid here that i have to get it done early

1 week from England! That’s great, can length looks somewhat long, can it be shortened?
PS. U ever consider “gutting the cat”?

any can can be shortened, they make several types they may make a shorter one , this looked close to the yosh which im sure will be popular so it will be good to use for making a flash

I may gut the cat do some testing after i develop the flsh for this

remember my bike is my test mule so i like to keep things close to what people will be doing while developing flashes

got up at 6 am to get to the shop and start runs by 7 am, was still 3 degrees hotter and 25% more humid then my last set of runs. So I do think there is more in gains to be had with the pipe if the conditions were the same. Maybe next weekend ill bring the stock pipe since its so easy to swap so I can get back to back runs. So data IMO for this test is inconclusive. Even a 1-2% drop from the weather is 2-4 hp on this bike.

what I saw was a small, aprox 1 hp gain from 9000 rpm up. Almost touched 220 hp. My highest reading so far with the bike.

by 9 am as the temp started to climb I would loose around 1 hp between runs even starting with the same AIT. No surprise the bike doesn't like hot air, lol

riding the bike its really not much louder when cruising, you can hear it but no very loud.

Doing some full throttle runs its sounds good, but still very reasonable quite. I think this is a nice pipe for someone that wants a little more volume but not race bike loud. wants to drop a few lbs and pick up a few hp.

if you really want some volume your going to need a shorter canister

Gut the cat, then you’ll see gains in hp and noise, simply installing a slip on(even with baffle removed) with a “catted”exhaust gets u nothing.

Im just giving people info, gutting the cat on this bike is not going to be a simple procedure. I am sure there are going to be plenty of people that dont feel its worth the hassle on a bike already making 220 hp

but if time permits and i enough people are doing it that it makes develping a flash for it worth while , ill test it

I’ve done it on several bikes,it’s an arduous task on this bike because of pre-cat in collector,
But,other the waiting for a manufacturer to make a full system,if it can come out “clean”,
It would be worthwhile

I have had mixed results as far as hp gains from removing catalysts

its the precat that is in the collector that I think would cause the flow reduction. The main catalyst is pretty big with a fair amount of surface area and should flow pretty well

removing the catalyst would also help with the heat, which as im finding is a big deal on this bike

Vcyclenut, would u know if the precat in the collector,is pressed in or welded,or both? I’m seriously considering removing both cats,as a complete system for this bike is many months,if not years away.

sorry I don't, I only know its there because when the welder put the wide band o2 bung in the stock exhaust he ran into it and had to change his location

I think it will be difficult to remove this cat and pre cat without cutting and rewelding
