Hello all I am thinking about replacing my Yoshi Alpha with the Akrapovic would there be a big difference besides I know it will look better. I am keeping the cat and thinking also about a Vcyclenut ECU Flash.

I like the Akra, I think it goes well with the color scheme...and it sounds good once you cut that cat off. I would imagine that any slipon that does not require new mapping would perform about the same.Image

Won't be any noticeable difference power wise as long as the "toaster" is still there. Most of the sound dampening and restriction is happening there as well as the catalytic converter being in there.

Interesting I've just had the same slipon installed, hasn't improved the sound of the bike much at all. I admit it looks better though. How does yours sound with this cat "modification" you've had done? God damn I hope there is a full system soon. I might have to sell this bike otherwise.
You need to pull out dbkillers for it to sound better. Without dbkillers removed it sounds almost like stock, but looks better.

This is mine without/with dbkillers

Still sounds like you have the cat in my 2018 model sounded much louder with the cat removed and the baffles out same exhaust only the difference was the colour mine was titanium. Right now I have a stock 2019 H2 Sx SE + Performance Tourer so far removed the baffles and it made little difference. Next job to remove the cat and exhaust valve then she will sound much better.

Note in the stock exhaust there are two cats one is between the header and the big ugly box but there is also one inside the box. I can imagine its easy to remove the one before the box and weld the box back on but opening the box removing the cat inside and re welding this back together would be difficult.

Maybe you still have the cat inside the box and this is why your exhaust is still pretty quiet?

Best route is buy the defat pipe from MTC in UK and cut the whole box off its much lighter and louder that way. In the UK there is no test for a bike to have a cat fitted at the annual MOT so easy to get away with this, maybe its not the same your side of the pond.

What did the Akra set you back? I don't think the stock can looks bad but the akra definitely looks better. Any noticable bump in HP?
