Re: Review of VcycleNut ECU Flash
Just a Question regarding the Octane that you tune too - up here in Canada, 87- 91 is common and 94 is hard to find at every gas station.. Is or can you tune be adjusted to say 91? or is this even a valid question regarding Super Charged motors?
I am asking because I bought a Stinger this year and its my first force induction motor(Twin Turbo)... On the forums there is lots of talk with tunes that run at different Octane levels, just curious.
Thanks, and if this has bin mentioned else were in the forum i do apologize in advance.

Re: Review of VcycleNut ECU Flash
Go with 91 from shell. Its the only premium without ethonal. My brother inlaw did multiple tests on our fuels in alberta and he discovered that 94 from petro is no better then 91 from shell. 94 from huskey is slightly better but still not enough to pay more money as it has ethonal. I personally witnessed this when tuning my Evox. Was tuning on 94 from huskey then petrocanada came out with 94 so i emptied my tank and went with them for the points. Was getting 7* knock consistantly when going 3/4+ throttle. Emptied my tank and went back to huskey and the knock went away. My buddy with a STI told me to go with shell. Changed fuels again and was anle to get 3* more timing out of it. Been using shell ever since.Zotto wrote: Mon Oct 15, 2018 3:48 am Just a Question regarding the Octane that you tune too - up here in Canada, 87- 91 is common and 94 is hard to find at every gas station.. I tuned using 93 pump gas here in the states
if you were worried about your fuel I could pull a degree or two of timing out of the tune. It will drop the hp a bit but less then if the bike pulls the timing because it starts to sense knock

Re: Review of VcycleNut ECU Flash
I personally use Shell 91 (E0) in my bikes as it's readily available and I can sometimes get it at a discounted rate.
I believe @vcyclenut recommends (correct me if I'm wrong) the use of 91 E10 Premium after the flash. So it's my understanding that us Canadians would possibly have to avoid Shell/Ultramar/Canadian Tire and who ever else sells E0?

Re: Review of VcycleNut ECU Flash
David, is JonTheChron's statement above correct? I usually use Shell 91 octane but have not verified if what I am normally using is with or without ethanol. My tune is for a stock exhaust and F1 filter. Thanks.JonTheChron wrote: Mon Oct 15, 2018 6:41 pm I personally use Shell 91 (E0) in my bikes as it's readily available and I can sometimes get it at a discounted rate.

Re: Review of VcycleNut ECU Flash
Hi, can you do your mods to the ECU for someone from the U.K.? Won’t have my bike until March but always have a reflash and can just to get rid of the “thrashing” sound of the standard pipe... what would be the cost inc carriage.vcyclenut wrote: Fri Jun 29, 2018 4:32 pmThank you dehaile for taking the time to write that up!!!UFO wrote: Fri Jun 29, 2018 4:06 am Good stuff, thanks for sharing.
I'm probably going to do that flash, but need to see what goes on with exhaust. I probably will not a do a full system, it honestly feels like a waste (other than saving some weight) when you can get to 220+ rwhp with a $250 stock flash and filter.
My concern is slipons and how that will affect the performance of the flash. I'm leaning towards the carbon Yoshi Alpha as it's got a nice mellow rumble to it, not obnoxiously loud. But I doubt vcyclenut will do a flash tweak just for that slipon.
UFO, I absolutely will be developing a flash for a slip on. I wont be developing for every different brand of slip on because I have found that as long as its a normal type straight through perforated core type they are all going to flow damn close to the same.
The first one which looks like the yosh at this point that becomes available I will start.
I may even see if I can put together my own just do develop the flash. next on my list is the e85 tune using the stock bike with sprint filter.
problem is its so freaking hot here now it affects tuning so I may have to wait a couple months to proceed further.

yes it is correct, it has ethanol unless you are specifically choosing non ethanol.

If i get the None Ethanol tune because we have 91 Shell up here in Canada, will that be an issue if i was to put Ethanol in my tank?
