Ordering Hardcases
Ordering Hardcases
Speaking with the dealer today, getting closer to finalizing a deal, I asked if he could verify the availability of the hardcases. Without them, the bike is not immediately useful to me for sport touring so this would be a nice thing to know! His response was odd, along the lines of we won't know until an actual order is placed. That seems odd, like dealer BS or simple laziness. Couldn't a phonecall be made to find out? If anyone knows the straight scoop about hardcase status I'd love to know!

Re: Ordering Hardcases
They are the exact same bags as used on the Ninja 1000 and Versys. Exactly. They've been in production for years. Matching color panels may be back ordered, and the mounting hardware as well, but bag availability themselves should not be an issue. You may not have them immediately, but there are bags available for this bike.
I ordered my from Europe anyway, to avoid the hideous reflectors and holes in the case that the U.S. version has.
They were cheaper than the dealer was charging as well, including shipping.

Re: Ordering Hardcases
The only hardware required is the key kit, which is always available, the brackets and rubbers that go on the rear foot pegs and some stickers. I got all the hardware for mine in a few days. I have been waiting 10 weeks now for the color kit, and still no word. Bags should be readily available, which will come in black, and the color kit much, much later
