Rear brakes feel weak to me. Not looking to lock up the rear wheel but seems to require a good bit of pressure for trail braking. Anyone know if the pads are GG or HH rated
If GG I would love to upgrade Anyone know who makes a better rear pad and part number? Fronts are great for sure!
Thanks
Mort

Pretty much every time you want to slow down and you have the rear tire on the ground. Using both brakes significantly reduces stopping distance.JonTheChron wrote: Thu Jul 19, 2018 5:22 pm In which situation do you guys need the rear brake anyways? (seriously)
The only argument for not using the rear brake is on the track. That's because most track riders are breaking so suddenly and hard the rear tire is off the ground. But your not riding like that on the street.
If you need to scrub off speed mid corner using the rear brake is the best option. Chopping the throttle or hitting the front brake will disrupt the suspension.
If you find yourself off of the pavement and on a slippery surface the rear brake is your best option. The more slippery the surface the less you will be able to use the front brake compared to the rear. If you run off onto wet grass using the front brake too hard will cause you lose the front and you'll slam down hard.
