Metal Heat Shield Part Number for Bags?
I am interested in buying Kawasaki’s metal heat shield kit that appears to mount under the bags for another model so I can mount a slightly shorter muffler without melting the bottom
of the bag. Does anyone know if the heatshelds fit our bags for sure? I see the moulding /template for drilling four holes under the bags. Anyone know which Kawasaki model/year has the heat shields and the part number got the kit?
Thanks Mort

I can't find it either. The heatshields are on the pannier set (99994-0564) for the 2017+ Ninja 1000. I'm certain they will fit our bags, but I don't know they are available separately. I will have my Parts Manager call Kawasaki and inquire tomorrow.

Nice, I rigged up some urban brawlers to fit so I’d like this as well

Bad news. My Parts Manager called Kawasaki PAC and "allegedly", the Ninja 1000 bags come to the States from Europe (with heat shields attached) and the heat shields are not available separately. Anyone abroad have any luck finding a part number for just the heat shields that us Yanks can purchase?

Just in case, I bought two (2) of these sheets on eBay. The picture of the Yoshimura fender eliminator for a Ninja 1000 shows a couple good views of the factory heat shields on the saddlebags. Absent a Kawasaki part number, this ought to be something easy to fashion out of embossed aluminum. I'll begin working on template.

I have used this stuff very successfully, from the undersides of panniers to the inner surfaces of fairings in close proximity to hot exhausts. It stays put and does not scorch. Excellent product!

So it took a while but my dealer called and those heat shields cannot be bought separately, they don't have part number. They came mounted with cases for Z1000SX, cannot be bought separately unfortunately

I ordered a set of the bags so I could get the heat shields. They don't have a part number, but now I have a template. I ordered a few sheets of heat shield aluminum and will be able to make my own. Here's what they look like:
