about to buy the SX not sure about SE

Post by dehaile » Sat Jun 02, 2018 1:09 am

Hello all

If all goes well, I am going to purchase the SX tomorrow! :cheer: I love the color of the plain model but I think I might miss the options of the SE. I plan on buying the heated grips, 12v adapter and maybe the center stand. Will I miss anything else. I am disappointed that this version does not have the ss brake lines but I think I can do without the other stuff like displayk, quickshift, cornering lights. What do you guys think? The dealer is not budging much on price; about a grand off. Thoughts?

Of course the following is my opinion, because your needs could be drastically different than mine. The quickshift is insanely convenient, whether it be highway riding or city riding. I use mine all the time. I do a lot of night riding as well and I love personally love the cornering lights. Although, they could come on a little sooner, but that could be reprogrammed in the future with the ECU. The larger wind screen also helps a lot on during highway riding. Blocks wind fairly well. That's my take on the SE. If u can live without those things, I'm sure u would love the SX. Just the power alone justifies your purchase for the SX :cheer:

Welcome to the site.

Here are the differences:

On a bike at this price $3000 difference is not that much. The KQS, configurable TFT display, and cornering lights are all awesome. Then throw in all the other tidbit differences and, IMO, it's a no brainer. Unless you absolutely hate the emerald blaze green. Have you seen on in person yet...in the sun?

Did I mention the KQS is incredibly addictive?

Not sure if the base model has the launch control but that's a blast. I love the auto blipping down shift feature of the quick shifter.
