I sent a note to Murph's also. Since I have both a Ninja 1000 and an H2 SX it may be easier for me to work with him.

Keep us posted. I'm pretty interested in bar risers if they are done well and integrate well with the current setup.57x wrote: Thu Jun 07, 2018 4:03 pm I sent a note to Murph's also. Since I have both a Ninja 1000 and an H2 SX it may be easier for me to work with him.
I wish Kawi would have made two castings of the stock risers. The one that comes with the bike, and a taller one that pulls back towards the rider. Offer that as an accessory.

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
We talked for a bit today. He is sending me a set to try. He asked me to get it trial fit and send it back.
I also asked him to make a shifter lever roller bearing setup like he did for the Connie. It tightens it up and makes it smooth as glass.

BTW, we will need a new brake line if we do this mod. The OEM hose is already tight. I will work on the possibility of making a bracket instead to make room. I know Murph would offer that too if I can perfect it.

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
@NinjaTX.... YES all that. I want it too. And so glad to hear someone else say the seat is angled wrong. At least for everyday comfort it is. IMO the stock seat makes you carry all the weight on your taint. I have to make a special effort to wedge my butt to the back to get more weight on my cheeks.
And for a tall guy, lower pegs (non-squishy please), put the bars up and back a bit, and a properly angled seat would go a long way toward improving the comfort on this bike. That said, its not awful. Its more comfortable than my R6 and R1M. But its not yet quite as comfortable as my Ninja1000 used to be.
And on this general point. I want to echo the idea that moving the bars up and back, the pegs down and a better seat can make a big difference. I did all that on my K1600 and it made such a huge improvement. Now after a day of riding, I don't feel any more tired than I would had I driven my truck.

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
extending brake lines on these bikes is complicated. i did it on my Ninja 1000. I had to cut off the swaged brake line, have a piece made up to fill the hole that left to aid in bleeding, then have a bung welded on for the AN line and then had them cerakoted (not an option on the H2). I didn't do the work. My company has a machine shop and they did it for me. Just something to look out for for a major rise.
I also had some bar backs and handlebars CNC machined from aluminum for the Ninja and plan to do the same for the H2.
I'd like to know how the Murph's deal worked out. Murph looks to have an offset of about 1-1.5 inches and I'd like to know how the lines etc fit.
A Russell seat will take care of your seat issues.

Ahhhh the Russell seat. I forgot about them. Custom fit seating! Check out what they did for the "Ninja 300" sportbike. That does look more comfortable than stock.

Only downside is you have to send in your seat. Maybe I will order an additional stock seat and send that in. That way I don't give up time on the bike. Hmmm....
