Re: Handlebar Raisers?
Murph wants pictures and dimensions- especially from a current or prior ninja 1000 owner but not required. This is not my forte but he said if someone sends him photos and dimensions it will speed the process up.

Pass this post on to him if you think it would be useful to him, here's a direct link to this post:
There are lots of pictures out there of the H2SX handlebar setup:
And also how they are assembled, bolt 92154E that holds the bar in the riser is M10x27mm long. By comparison the N1000 bolt is M10x37mm long. The bars also have a reference tab that slots into the riser to prevent rotation. Same setup as the N1000, but not sure on slot/tab dimensions, did not tear my bars apart.
Right bar (see reference tab on bottom of bar):
Left bar (see reference slot in riser hole):
Code: Select all
https://h2sxriders.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3511#p3511The bar diameter is ~0.9". Length of bar that's insert into riser is roughly ~1.2". To get better measurements I would have to take one side apart.mortbike wrote: Sat May 26, 2018 9:18 pm Murph wants pictures and dimensions- especially from a current or prior ninja 1000 owner but not required. Re: Handlebar Raisers?
Mort, any feedback from Murph on the risers. I sent a message requesting update but have heard nothing yet?

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
I have both here in my garage at the moment. The critical difference is the diameter of the housing (not the bar) at is largest point on the Ninja 1000 is ~33mm. The same on the H2 SX is ~40mm, so the bar would have to have and additional ~4mm offset between the bars.

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
Murph wants to send a ninja1000 kit to a volunteer who has time to test fit it. Anyone interested should contact him.

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
I did receive an answer from Oscor at Murph's.
"Thanks for getting back to me…I’d love to develop a set , but it looks challenging… I don’t have a bike to work with..and the pictures I have seen , looks like the windshield may be an issue "
While not saying no, it doesn't sound real promising. Anybody near his shop that could stop by so that he could get a better idea of what is there?

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
Yes, at full turn the instrument housing might hit the edge of the upper fairing that holds the windscreen. But would only come into play when you are moving your bike around the garage or parking lot. It really depends on how far the risers rotate the bars toward the rider too.Zdude wrote: Thu Jun 07, 2018 12:29 am I did receive an answer from Oscor at Murph's.

Re: Handlebar Raisers?
I am a bit surprised that some find this bike uncomfortable to ride. I think the riding position is quite relaxed, and If my hands get tired after a very long ride, I engage the cruise control. No need for bar raisers.
In my eyes, this bike is closer to a sportbike, than a tourer.
