Anyone know of quality stands for the H2 SX SE?
Re: Anyone know of quality stands for the H2 SX SE?
Bursig is the only thing I know of that you can use if you want to do suspension work and don't have a center stand. I used one on my Z1000SX when I put the Traxxion cartridges and the Penske shock in . Like you though Cooter, I kind of thought the Bursig was some trouble to get right and I was worried about the fixture marring the frame (it didn't though). All in all, I may use the center stand and just do the suspension one wheel at a time if I can find a good place to put a jack on either end (may not be a good place).
For wheel work, I think the pit bull type stands are less wobbly than the Bursig but the rear stand is not available yet. You've used both Cooter. What's your opinion?
What kind of tires are you going to run Cooter? Metzler Roadtec 01's worked great on my Z1000SX and I'm tentatively planning on using them again.

I haven't tried the pit bull. That's what I wanted but pit bull company said that they didn't currently have the pin to fit the SX SE.Lentz wrote: Sun Jun 17, 2018 1:41 pm Bursig is the only thing I know of that you can use if you want to do suspension work and don't have a center stand. When my rear tire wore out the front still looked good so I just bought another rear S21 then about 200 miles later the front started wearing really fast. It's almost to the wear bars and I'm doing a track day Wednesday. So I decided to get another S21 front since the rear is pretty new. I don't like to mismatch tires but when these are worn out I'm planning on trying the Michelin PR5s. I run Metzler racetec slicks on my supermoto but I've never run Metzler street tires.

You might want to try the Roadtecs Cooter. Great street tires. I don't do track days so I couldn't tell you about them there.
I imagine Pit Bull will make a pin for the SX pretty quickly. It's just a pin and the rest of the stand should be the same. I couldn't find the stand that I quoted a pic of as a Kaw part anywhere. Still I've bought stuff from Webike before and they're normally accurate about the manufacturer. It could very well be dealer part. I'll ask next time I'm at the dealer.
Jon was right though. $90 seems kind of cheap.

When I get around to it, I plan to see if my PitBull front stand will fit and machine a new pin if needed. Nice having a lathe.

I'm modding one of my powerstand pins for a Triumph to fit soon. My machinist is just waiting on the specs

Re: Anyone know of quality stands for the H2 SX SE?
I just picked up my SX SE last week, and looking at the jack stand options, I'm sticking with my ABBA sportbike stand:
https://abbastandsusa.com/product-detai ... e-2&pid=43
I've been using it for my '15 Kawi Versys, and I think it's the best solution for me. It's less expensive than the Bursig, and I really like that it lifts the bike from both sides of the center arm pivot. It's solid, and once the bike is up, it's secure. I also like that the only contact points are the center arm pivot itself. The ABBA stand definitely takes a little more effort than the Bursig to set up, and you have to purchase the front and rear wheel kit (above link) to get both wheels up. The ABBA stand is very solid and allows more freedom to work around the wheels than paddock stands.
I haven't done a track day, but I think the Bursig is quicker and more convenient once set up. On the other hand, the parts for the ABBA stand break down relatively flat for transport, and as I said, I like that it supports the bike from both sides.
When I went to the ABBA site, there was no fitting listed for the SX. I contacted ABBA about H2 SX fitment, and they got right back to me to confirm that the H2 fitting will also fit the H2 SX. Their site now lists an H2 SX fitting for the stand. The SX also requires a rear bobbin fitting to accommodate the swing arm (2nd pic). This is not available yet; however, ABBA support informed me that this fitting will be available in 8-10 weeks.
ABBA ships from the UK, but I was amazed to get my stand on time shipped 2nd day air.

MOTO-D Kawasaki H2/R Swingarm Rear Stand (23.5MM)
Git this and a OEM Kawasaki h2SX pin from the Kawasaki dealership. The pin was 60 USD but the dealership gave it to me for 40. I did call the stand manufacturer and asked if the pin was replaceable and was told yes.
This should be a pretty good option for a rear stand. I have the pin with me, the stand is getting delivered tomorrow. Will let you know after testing on the weekend.

Re: Anyone know of quality stands for the H2 SX SE?
Abba Stands got back to me and said they are finishing the adapters now and will be ready in 2 weeks. This was in regards to their Skylift stand. Hopefully this is true.

Good news, It will be complete and ready for sale in around 2 weeks’ time. Just finishing off the last parts now.
Check back in around 2 weeks and it should be good to go for the H2/SX
Thanks
