True, so therefore it's probably in floor display mode.Kilo_Rider wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2017 4:45 pmnot at 7000 rpmNinja H2SX wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2017 7:33 amThat speedo readout is probably in KMH, so 298 KMH is 185 MPH.Kilo_Rider wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2017 5:03 amIsn't that just the instruments in some kind of test mode for the bike shows, or is that from an actual video?![]()
That cant be right.

Re: How will the H2 SX compare to other bikes
So my boredom is getting to me again and I'm back to bench racing a bike using theories and speculation. Using the information provided on this site about top speed per gear and gearing commander dot com I decided to line the SX up beside the ZX14r.
We all know that the zx14r is crazy fast in a straight line. The HP rating for the 2 is identical. The SX SE is lighter by 20lbs. The Zx14r has 15ft.lbs. more torque. So far they seem very similar on paper. Now comes the gearing theory.
Taller or longer (lower number) gear ratios have a higher top speed but with equal power, torque, weight accelerate slower. To get a higher top speed on a bike riders often switch sprockets to a +1 tooth front and -2 tooth rear set up.
Shorter gear ratios (higher number) have a faster acceleration but lower top speed with equal power, torque and weight. To get faster acceleration riders often switch sprockets to a -1 tooth front and +2 tooth rear set up.
The SX has a shorter gearing ratio (higher number) for gears 1-4 (the 1/4 mile gears) than the zx14r and a higher redline. I've attached the gearing commander top speed per gear graphs for each to this post. In theory the SX should accelerate faster than the zx14r, correct? The only wildcard variable is the 15 extra ft.lbs of torque the zx14r has assuming equal riders and conditions.

Re: How will the H2 SX compare to other bikes
It would be easier to compare these numbers if the columns were at the same RPMs. SX is on 1200 RPM increments, 14R is on 1100 RPM increments, so it's difficult to line them up and make a comparison.

I used the 12k Rpm for the SX since that is the presumed redline for the bike making the comparison redline to redline. I also added the SX's chart using 11k rpms.

No matter how the comparison comes out, the bottom line is both will rip your frickin' eyeballs out at full acceleration.
