TPMS
Gamin TPMS installed.....although after one day the rear sensor is showing the battery as low ! There have been reports of this......but seems to work ok.
I have the rear tyre set to 42psi with a warning to come on if it drops below 40psi and the front is set to 40psi with a warning to come on at 36psi.
Seems to be trial and error with the tyre pressures as 42 42 seems very hard although thats what manufacturers recommend.

Re: TPMS
Good info. I assume they're giving accurate readings (or you wouldn't bother telling us about them).

Re: TPMS
42 psi is the recommendation at maximum load capacity (2up, maybe with some gear). Way too hard for solo riding IMO.

Re: TPMS
42 psi is the only recommended pressure I've seen. I agree it's pretty high. Other touring bikes have different pressures for different loads listed.BoostedOne wrote: Thu May 24, 2018 4:33 am 42 psi is the recommendation at maximum load capacity (2up, maybe with some gear). Re: TPMS
On the bridgestone site they are recommending less on the front, I think it is 2.5 front and 2.9 rear. Who do you trust, the tyre maker or the bike manufacturer?
I have BT-023 on her at the mo but I am going to the Isle of Man on Sunday and might chance S21s again.

Right. Here's the spec directly from the shop manual:cOoTeR wrote: Thu May 24, 2018 5:39 am42 psi is the only recommended pressure I've seen. I agree it's pretty high. feel free to run at 42 psi riding solo, but it's like riding stones for tires.Air Pressure (when Cold)
Front:
Up to 195 kg (430 lb) load:
290 kPa (2.90 kgf/cm², 42 psi)
Rear:

Re: TPMS
I checked tire pressure Sunday before my 200 mile ride. Front and rear were 40 psi. Hmmm, I think they were set to 42 psi at the dealer and their gauge is off by 2 psi compared to mine (my gauge is spot on, right?). I adjusted the front to 36 and rear to 42, what I was used to on my previous Triumph Sprint STs. The handling was fine during the ride and the bumps were apparent as before. I encountered some slippery tar snakes around Sedona though I think the slipperiness had to do with temperature (~90F) vice tire pressure.

Re: TPMS
did you balance the wheels after adding the TPMS? i mean at that power and rpms, you wont want to have unbalanced wheels
