34 front, 35 rear. I am planning to drop the rear to 34 also and see how I like it.
Book pressures are always way to high for me

Never been a lover of Bridgestone, so at the 600 mile service, changed both front & rear to :-

Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT
190/55ZR17 TL (75W) M/C Rear
£147

Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT
120/70 ZR17 TL (58W) M/C Front
£108

Had these Pilot Road 4 GT's on my Z1000SX for a few years with no issues, I am very pleased with them on the H2 SX SE,
having covered about 500 miles in wet & dry conditions, they appear to be very stable.

Had pilot road once on my bike and i hated it. When im done with batlaxes im gonna put pirelli angel gt, like before in my zzr's.

The only time ive used pilot road was when i caught a flat tire and couldnt find angel gt on the spot to replace. In 2k kms i replaced them anyway cause bike was wobbly and totally unstable.

On a track day, an instructor had same opinion as me on the michelins so im sure im not alone in this 😀

Sounds like you had not enough pressure if tire was wobbly. Often it’s as simple as that.

On the RS21 I had tried different pressures and yes when pressure goes under 35PSI (im 97kg) bike becomes unstable.
At 36-38 PSI it’s perfect for me.

I am aware of shorter mileage for stock tires, but this is worse than previous bikes.

How many miles did you get out of your stock tires?
I have same experience. Tires are almost worn out at 3000km, but I do also ride very hard, no cruising. This is still the first tire that has gone so fast.

You are not alone. I have replaced nearly new Pilot's on three bikes now shortly after purchasing bikes with them. Just a squishy tire to me with no feedback. Everyone has a tire they like. I happen to be a Bridgestone tire guy, and love them at pressures way lower than most will ride them. I just made a 360 mile run at 34/34PSI and was quite happy. Next, I will pull yet another pound of pressure from the front to see how it goes.

I will be trying out Pirelli Angel GT this year.

I have had 5 sets of Pilot Roads on my previous bike (Z1000SX) and they were just gradually getting worse, model after model, year after year. the PR2 were good, PR3 were OK, PR4 are trash on dry surfaces... I cannot image how bad the PR5 will be and I hear nothing bad about the Angel GT

I would recommend that you order the A spec Angel, which is made for heavier bikes like ours.

Just to confuse matters more, Bridgestone are saying 2.5 in front, 2.9 at the back!
