From my understanding, only way a F1 would do better then a p08 is if you upgraded the supercharger gears.Prof J wrote: Sat Jan 25, 2020 4:35 amPer K&N, they use an 'approximate' 6 CFM per square inch of filter, when they calculate their overall CFM for a filter. Though good, I'd go with Sprint.
The F1 notably flows more CFM than the P08, however, David has shared dyno tuning to the F1 filter results in no more HP. My guess then is that the 'intake' is maxed out, so the extra CFM is not used by the bike.

Re: Air filters
so are both the P08 and F1 good to wash in detergent and water then dry or is it just the F1 which has water proofing. The website doesn't state too well, just says that the filter if very dirty can be washed, as I don't have an air compressor

yes they can both be washed with detergent and water, the p08 will require drying time the f1 wontbluknite wrote: Sat Jan 25, 2020 7:13 am so are both the P08 and F1 good to wash in detergent and water then dry or is it just the F1 which has water proofing. Re: Air filters
Which one on the market offers the best filtration. The h2sx is a suck machine and I'd rather have better small particle filtration on this bike than most others. Even if it does affect hp a little personally I'd feel better.

Re: Air filters
Probably a well oiled filter would have the best filtration (BMC, DNA...). I prefer the standard Sprint P08, no oiling and enough filtration.78cobra wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2020 3:15 am Which one on the market offers the best filtration. Brock has a video showing the filtration of a P08-F1 which has less filtration than the P08 and leaves the air chamber pretty clean:

Re: Air filters
I think the filtration differences between the two is pretty small, 5um = 1/10000th of an inch difference, while tripling the CFM - sadly, the fact that the H2SX apparently can not use the extra CFM of the F1, accounting for the addition of an aftermarket more free, bad english freer, flowing exhaust.Shin_Molina wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2020 8:40 amProbably a well oiled filter would have the best filtration (BMC, DNA...). Re: Air filters
Yep, that's why I ended buying the standard P08, no HP gains for using the F1 as Vcyclenut said.Prof J wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2020 10:35 pm I think the filtration differences between the two is pretty small, 5um = 1/10000th of an inch difference, while tripling the CFM - sadly, the fact that the H2SX apparently can not use the extra CFM of the F1, accounting for the addition of an aftermarket more free, bad english freer, flowing exhaust.
