Hey guys I just noticed that the sx has a higher tire profile than many bikes that have a 190/50 rear. The H2 has an even higher profile tire, 200/55.
Is there a reason or the slightly higher profile? does it had a little more curvature and thus 'flickability"?

That's the same tire as on the ZX10-R. A lot of guys run a 195/50 on the zx10r.

Re: 190/55 rear tire
Isn't a 190/50 a more standard tire size? I'm not sure, it's been awhile sinze I looked at new bikes and it seems many with 190s now come with a 55 profile. Kinda curious why the industry seems to have shifted.

Re: 190/55 rear tire
I like to run the higher profile tire on sport bikes if I have an option of what fits. I don't know about flickabiloty, some guys classroom that's why they like it. I think it feels like it helps with initial turn in and feels more smooth overall in the corners. The zx10r I just sold turned in real slow at first until I got a higher profile tire on it and raised the rear height.
I think the higher profiles are more common on sport bikes for what ever reason the manufactures have decided it works best. I also think it's a good sign that the sx in theory should handle really well.
