Ok so I dropped my bike while trying to open kick stand.
Bike basically fell onto left side.
Result:
- Shifter lever knob snapped off
- Frame slider snapped off
Conclusion:
- Don’t buy Kawasaki frame slider. It doesn’t protect the fairings even from a simple drop. From the design it’s clear it’s meant to snap off at basic contact with road.

OMG, how bad scratches in the fairings?
It has to be very carefully with side stand, i have noticed the same. It's just a matter of the day when that happens...

Yeah fairings will need to be replaced. well the slider is by default to far inside to protect fairings but I didn’t expect it to be made of cheap plastic on the spot which connects it to the spacer rod.
As a matter of fact, I “used” sliders on different bikes and the slider itself was always abraded, linkage bent a bit. But never ever have those cheaper snapped.

I'm sorry to hear about your bike. Maybe I need to consider replacing genuine sliders to a different brand.
I know import duty is very high in your country, have you considered using Kawasaki touch up paint to mask the scratches?

That sucks man.
I always suspected these 'frame slider' wouldn't do much, this sort of back up my thoughts since they didn't even work in a tip over.

Many frame sliders don't unless they protrude a huge amount from the fairings.

Adding now proper sliders (self made) which are structurally a bit more sound than the plastic crap i was sold by kawa. I mean it sure needs a plastic abrasion part and a point of failure but the mount should be a bit better holding

lol
for the shifter, will drill a hole in lever and bolt original part that broke off onto it.
